Coit Donuts — Restaurant in Dallas

Flavorful yes I guess if you like oil and loads of sugar, but the freshest thing on the menu seems to be the microwave warmed items. The donut holes, buttermilk, cake and (wheres the apple) apple fritters are all dry, oily, no springy freshness, more the 3 day old left the bag open bread texture.

The apple fritters (my favorite) had one (1!) little apple piece in the 3/1.00 I got; which made almost 1 complete fritter. There were no real apples but the one little piece hidden in the cinnamon and sugar coating. I also tasted the oil, almost heavy in spots, like they were using grease (which is cheaper) to fry the items. Ever had to use hot coffee to swish around to loosen the oily buildup? Not pleasant at all.

Sorry gang but if this is the best you have had at 6:00AM-6:30AM... You haven't had a great donut yet. This was not the best I have had, and since moving to the area, I have yet to find a single great and fresh donut place near 75243 area.

SOMEONE PLEASE SUGGEST A GREAT FRESH DONUT JOINT IN THE AREA! I miss the one they used to have in Irving, before his kids took it over and changed the ingredients to cheap crap. Just one bite and you knew you found donut heaven... fresh every day, holes, fritter with apple chunks you could see through out the entire fritter, chocolate dark and semi sweet you could taste the natural sweet and tart of the cocoa not the sugar. Yeah, they don't have places like...

Donuts here are good better than krispy kreme. BUT the chinese lady or whatever she is from is extremely rude. I started my order with 3 sugar donuts. She grabs a small bag and places them in their & charges me, then i tell her i am not done ordering( THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME SHE DOES THIS). She makes a face gesture, i then tell i will get 6 chocolate donuts, she then grabs more small bags. This is not the first time she tries to give me several small bags with donuts when she has boxes right next to her !!! Theres been SEVERAL TIMES. I HAVE TO CONSTANTLY TELL HER TO PUT THEM IN A BOX PLEASE SINCE ITS MORE THAN 6 donuts!! AND SHE GETS MAD. Shes rude, makes lots of face gestures & acts...

Watch your credit card! When I go here, I order the exact same thing every time. The total is usually around $5.40 ish. One time it was $6 for some reason. Not sure why my total changes when I'm ordering the exact same thing.... but ok, small fluctuation--maybe someone can't do math. But then one day, they charge me $9.43. Why would my total be $4 more than it normally is when I order the exact same thing? Shady business practices here... needless to say, what once used to be my favorite donut store on the way to work, I will no longer...
