Wonderful value for my stay here at the embassy suites. The room was nice and big and provided enough living space for my extended stay where I did not feel cramped or claustrophobic. We had plenty of room to go about our day to days. The room was clean but I did not put anything in the drawers, they were all stained with who knows what on the inside. The shower worked wonderfully and provided plenty of hot water for the both of us. The air conditioning was amazing and such a relief during the heat wave while we stayed there. What I did not like though that the front part of the room, the living room, there are curtains. You can still see into the room from an angle even with all of the curtains closed. Did not like that. I could see other guests as I was sitting on the couch through the sliver of the curtains closest to the front door, that could not cover it, even when closed all the way. If you want or need housekeeping you have to request it. Room had a microwave, coffee maker, sink, and a mini fridge. The fridge kept everything nice and cold. The freezer caused my Gatorade to slush.
The staff was really nice and accommodating. Checking in was really fast and I was able to get my key and to my room in about 5 mins when I got to the nice lady, but because the customers in front of me did not know how their reservations worked and did not do their due diligence when they booked, it took longer for me to check in because of them. I want to emphasize that when it was my turn to check in, it was really fast and easy, but because of the idiots in front of me, it was about a 15 min wait. There is a $100 mandatory refundable deposit upon check in; can use either credit or debit.
Parking was easy, but it took a couple entries and exits to understand the layout of the underground parking structure. The parking structure was kind of gross as there was stagnant water everywhere and very smelly overflowing trash cans. Fridays and Saturdays you need to get a parking pass from the front desk. Other days you don't need one. Not a fan of the entry and exit engineering: it is very steep. When you are exiting there is almost no visibility over your hood as you are making your way out. Enter and Exit with caution. When you enter there is a harsh visual transition with the light so take it slow when you enter especially when it is bright outside so you can see if there is a car or pedestrian making their way out.
This hotel has a lot to offer. There is complimentary breakfast. There is a bar. Plenty of dining and seating. Fast elevators. There is an indoor pool but I didn't use it, it smelled too strongly of chlorine. There is a small gym with a cable cage for resistance training, some treadmills, a stair master, and one upright spin bike. I tried working out in it, but there was absolutely no air circulation or ventilation, the room was so humid and gross, if anyone was sick using those facilities, anyone using it afterwards would have gotten ill from the stagnant air. There were hand towels on a shelf, but very few.
Do not walk the area. Especially at night. Lots of homeless and shady people roaming the streets. The hotel is right next to the freeway. There is no...
Read moreSure — here’s a 500-word summary based on the experience you shared, preserving the key points and tone while expanding naturally:||During a recent family trip, I made the unfortunate decision to book a stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton without thoroughly reading the reviews beforehand. I relied on the brand’s reputation, assuming it would ensure a quality and comfortable experience. Unfortunately, this decision led to a deeply disappointing stay that fell far below my expectations. The hotel’s condition and service standards did not reflect the prestige typically associated with the Hilton name and were comparable to what one might find in an average roadside motel rather than an upscale suite hotel.||I had reserved a suite for my family, expecting a classy, well-maintained, and welcoming environment. However, upon arrival, it was immediately apparent that the hotel was run down and poorly maintained. The suite featured old, worn-out furniture and dingy, heavily stained carpets that gave the room a neglected and unclean appearance. Even more concerning was the bathroom, where we encountered a broken toilet tank, which added to the inconvenience and discomfort during our stay.||One of the most frustrating aspects of our visit was the hotel’s lack of housekeeping services. Throughout our entire stay, our suite was never cleaned. When I approached the front desk staff to inquire about this, the receptionist nonchalantly informed me that rooms are not required to be cleaned daily. This policy, coupled with the already poor condition of the room, made the stay even more unpleasant and left us feeling neglected as guests.||The hotel staff's attitude only worsened the experience. Customer service was sorely lacking, with employees displaying unprofessional and indifferent behavior. At one point, I requested a luggage cart to help transport our bags to the room. Instead of assisting or showing concern for our needs, the staff member dismissed my request, stating, “Someone got it,” and made no effort to provide a solution or offer an alternative. This level of rudeness and disregard for guest comfort is unacceptable, especially at a hotel affiliated with a major hospitality brand.||The issues extended beyond the hotel’s interior. The parking situation was inconvenient, poorly organized, and made arriving and departing unnecessarily stressful. Additionally, the surrounding neighborhood did not feel particularly safe or welcoming, further detracting from the overall experience and making it clear that this was not an ideal location for families or travelers seeking a peaceful, secure stay.||In summary, my experience at Embassy Suites by Hilton was overwhelmingly disappointing. The hotel’s deteriorating condition, subpar customer service, absence of daily housekeeping, and poor external environment combined to create a stay that did not align with the quality and standards typically associated with the Hilton brand. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would advise future travelers to carefully review recent guest feedback before booking accommodations, even from familiar and reputable...
Read moreI think I’m being generous with all these “3’s” in the ratings.
So we were in from Monday thru Saturday. And technically Sunday, but given we were done with what we were in Dallas for, there was no need to subject ourselves to another night here. As I don’t usually give bad ratings, this one is close.
Situated in a tight spot on the busy North Expressway 635, the parking out front is very limited and tight. The parking deck below, only accommodates vehicles 6’6” or under. So no vans, trucks or big SUVs will fit down there. Parking out behind the building is also limited given the event center next door also utilized it. If you get back late in the evening, you might not be able to park there at all. Also, the card reader on the back door was broken, so if it was closed all the way, you had to walk around the side of the building to get in.
So upon check in and out, there was no luggage cart. Everything for the 4 of us had to be lugged up and down 4 floors in 3 trips. It was warm in the building as the AC was broken for several days. Dallas was on average 97+ degrees everyday we were there. We set our room to 50 degrees, which is ridiculous, but never got below 75 degrees. The indoor pool water was not treated correctly, or often. While there were people I seen swimming, the water was greenish and cloudy, and the bleach smell was a little overwhelming to enjoy. We never got in. Our girls did not like that at all. The atrium was spacious but is close or at the point of needing some refreshing. The bar was great and the food at the restaurant was pretty delicious. The breakfast is what you expect at an Embassy Suites, and was above average with lots of choices. The ice makers were clean and working, and had good on site laundry rooms on the floors.
The door for the room we were in, malfunctioned a bit, but we got in every time. There was a pretty musty smell in the room, masked again with bleach. Took some getting used to. Room was clean and the appliances all worked well. Low water pressure in the showers, but what else is new for a hotel. The tv in the bedroom broadcast all the channels it had, while the living room one only broadcast 20% of them. Beds were comfy, but given the 75 degrees in the room, the thick blankets could not be used.
For $200 a night, if the AC worked correctly, the rooms smelled better and the pool looked like a pool should, it would be worth it. Even considering the...
