I’m sorry to say that my Mom and I went to Snitches on 09/05/21 and had an absolutely awful experience. Starting first and foremost with the waitress. I wish I could tell you her name to warn you of the lady with dark hair (w blonde tips) and a butterfly tattoo on her leg – however she was not wearing a name tag and did not introduce herself. We arrived a few minutes early for our 8:00 pm reservation. We were greeted by both our server and the bartender who said they would be with us shortly. Our waitress proceeded to eat her meal at the food window, touch her mask and other guests’ food without ever washing her hands. After about 7 minutes, we were seated. Our waitress put down our menus and poured us some water and walked away. When she returned a few minutes later, I had a question about one of the menu items - the waitress informed me they were out of that item. I then attempted to order the meat and cheese appetizer and was informed they were out of that as well. So we ordered our filets – Oscar style. We were never asked if we wanted drinks. After about a half an hour and no check-ins from our waitress, I waved her down and asked for some bread and a salad because we were so hungry. Turns out they were also out of bread – really. A few minutes after our request for salad the waitress came back by to let us know that the kitchen informed her the printer had broke and our order was lost so she would yell at them to get it moving. Our salads were placed on our table without a word from the server (even after we said thank you) she just turned around and proceeded to talk with the table next to us. We ate our salads and started to play the waiting game again. Other tables who arrived after us had received their meals, ate them, were asked if they wanted deserts (apparently the printer worked for their orders). After being there for an hour, our meal finally arrived – COLD in addition to not being cooked to order. I’m not kidding. We waited for her to return and when she did not, I waved her down again and told her the food was cold. I told her we would not pay for cold food and to charge us for the salad so we could go elsewhere. Honestly, we go out often and we are always willing to higher prices for good food. However – I am not willing to pay higher prices for cold food, reheated food nor wait for another hour for new steaks to be cooked. After waiting for a few minutes and my waitress delivering other tables checks and not speaking to us, I went up to stand by the front. The waitress came over, punched in her numbers into the computer and removed our dinners from the ticket. She said it will be $6.45. I gave her 7 dollars put a dollar down on the bar next to her and proceeded to walk away. She offered the change and I told her I did not want it. Basically, left her a $1.55 tip because I do not believe in stiffing a server because I used to do this job and I know how hard it can be. However, looking back I feel that was too much to leave her. Our waitress never apologized for the many issues and had a seriously snotty attitude the entire time we were there. I understand that everyone is short staffed right now. However, she did not have so many tables that she could not ask if we wanted drinks, check on us at least once and be so rude that she would not even apologize when our food arrived cold. BTW – we went straight to Mavericks down the street. Here we were seated immediately, our waitress Tracey was very pleasant, asked if we wanted drinks (imagine that), promptly took our order. The food was very tasty, we finished eating were on our way out in under 45 minutes. They are also short staffed and our waitress was on hour 12 of her shift that day. Needless to say we will not be returning to Snitches. I highly suggest that management trains their staff on what is appropriate work behavior and how to treat their guests. Also suggest that management looks at their ordering process to assure guests have something to order from when dining at their...
Read moreSo, this is upscale? There are a lot of plusses and a lot of minuses. The Service: was impeccable; our server, Toby Hurd, was EXCEPTIONAL! He knows how to take care of his customers. His knowledge is above and beyond; he knows the beef, the cuts, and the grades. He knows the menu and can explain the fine nuances of the dishes on the menu. He expertly paired our wine to the plates we ordered. This is service at the highest level of competence! The food: This is where things start to go a bit off the rails. The charcuterie board appetizer was sans a fruit component. This oddly paired slaw was served that had miniscule pieces of strawberries; it was a complete fail as a board component. The Nan or pita bread was inedible, very hard to chew; if the intent was that it was toasted, it was way over toasted. The elk sausage was excellent. The cheeses were well selected, the crackers not so much. The Borsin was out of place. There was no jam or fruit spread. A bacon or roasted tomato bacon jam would have completed this offering. Overall a miss on this. Salads were good, portions were acceptable. Our server was not able to add cracked pepper. The restaurant does not have a single peppermill. Seriously? The Entrees; were ready before the salads were eaten, too rushed, and very poor timing by the kitchen staff. Yes, I asked. The beef dishes were a huge hit and were well enjoyed. The Shrimp Scampi had a strange taste profile, with a red bell pepper undernote; it was positively shy of the garlic and lemon profile expected. Three orders were considered in these comments, not one person liked this dish. The Chicken Picata was also oddly composed, EXTREMRLY oily, and scant on the chicken, lemon, and capers. The lemon rinds were served with the dish cooked, as part of the sauce; not a positive inclusion. Neither of these dishes are worthy of placement on the menu. They need review and significant improvement. Atmosphere: The space is not dining positive. The curtains that separate the space from the casino need to be replaced with a wall, period. The casino noise is a huge detractor. That's the good and the bad. Was it worth $300? For the service, yes! For the food, no way, not even close. I hope that they can improve the food quality, and become representative of their menu. Chef take note, taste your dishes. Management, take note, sample all that you offer, service, food, and atmosphere. You can and...

From the time we arrived (a few minutes late) to Tin Lizzie's, we had an awesome experience. We ordered the $42/person all you can eat and that was the most amazing choice EVER, especially because we like our steaks medium rare. I think the last time we had anything so tasty was at a restaurant that doesn't exist anymore (where if you needed a serrated steak knife, something was wrong).
What did we like best? The filet!!! (All the filets!) STARTERS: We had the Filet Mignon whiskey tips appetizer ... a few times, because it was AWESOME!!! We also had the grilled shrimp cocktail and the antipasto skewer appetizers.
MAIN: We had a few of the Petit Filet in a cherry demi glaze, which was delicious with a little cherry. CUTE! We had a few of the Petit Bison Filet with a heart of palm and arugula salad that was the best bison we've had ... ever. We also had the sesame chicken.
SIDES: The ginger wasabi mashed potatoes had just a hint of ginger and wasabi, which was pretty amazing. We also had the tomato pesto pasta and the grilled asparagus.
DESSERT: We had it all!!! We had a tiramisu and banana gelato (like a bananas foster gelato). Photo attached.
Thank you to our amazing waitress Alexandria (who likes Pokemon)! We chose the restaurant partially because of the OpenTable reservations and partially because there were so many 5-star reviews! Despite being busy when we arrived, she took care of us with a wonderful smile and some great recommendations! It was our first time in Deadwood and at the end of the night, she gave us a quick tour of the beautiful private dining room (photo attached) and let us say hi to the chefs. She also told us to take our paid check to the casino for $10 each which ... err ... we promptly lost, but WHEE! Free fun money!
For Pokemon Go, there definitely was a Pokestop, but I think there was a gym also ... eep! A testament to what a great time we had that I didn't make a...
