I came here a long time ago when they first opened and haven't been back until recently. This was one of the first places I tired Ramen in Denver and it was pretty good then. Sadly since I live twenty miles away I don't make it to too many places repeatedly to give a fair review. Well, I finally made it here twice in two weeks. Each time was fantastic!

The ramen is still just as good as always. They use a nice thick dense noodle which is great! The flavor is outstanding! The miso soup is by far the best I've had in Denver and they don't give you a little baby sized bowl of it. The tofu being seared in it is just perfect! I love a miso with some texture instead of just getting broth.

The sushi is actually pretty damn good! They have a decent fish selection for such a small place and the sushi prices are reasonably for the quality! I also love that this place has Natto rolls on the menu! Such a hard to find item in Denver. So good! Their gyoza are some fat ones! They don't skimp out on the fillings and aren't just boring ground pork.

Soemone mentioned in the reviews this place is a fusion joint and I'm pretty confused by this. Seems pretty traditional to me. So not sure about that. That's like saying any burger joint that doesn't use only cheese, lettuce, pickles, ketchup and mustard is a burger fusion restaurant. Idk maybe it's just me.

The servers have all been pretty fantastic! They are all very friendly and do their best. There is a bit of wait with them since there is generally two to three servers trying to cover upstairs and downstairs. So don't expect to be waited on hand and foot but I wouldn't call the service slow. I can get in and out within an hour even when busy.

Personally I feel the sushi is up there in quality with places like Sushi Den that I have frequented a lot of times, but this place might be my new go to for sushi joint. Mainly because they have amazing miso and Natto in the menu! I think the rolls here are just about the same and honestly some are even better than Sushi Den. Their soy sauce is also a nice dark thick soy sauce and isn't a watery brewed soy. Oh did I mention they have Natto on the menu?! If you haven't had Natto, I highly recommend it! Natto is a traditional Japanese fermented soybean superfood packed with probiotics and essential nutrients and is one ingredient contributed to their longevity.

Parking to get here is a SOB. Be prepared to walk a distance. If you can avoid having to drive I highly recommend different...

I came here for the first time a week and a half ago. It took the chef reminding our server we were there, but after that everything was fantastic. We came here for the first time for our anniversary and were blown away by how great the quality was and the portions. The atmosphere was great, selection, and being able to sit at the bar and watch the rolls being prepared was awesome. I live near Wyoming & saved the location in my favorites to come back.

We came back today & had such a bizarre, disheartening experience. The worst part was how it was handled. I order a modified California. My hand roll was incorrect (wasn’t even a correct California), & I originally ordered 8 pieces of sushi from the happy hour menu with substitutions. My server informed me due to the substitutions they would have to charge me full price for the roll. Sure, no problem. I was very surprised when 16 pieces of sushi arrived. Before they took their hand off the plate or took it away I informed them it was incorrect. I told them I only ordered 8 and they left all of the sushi on the table. She accidentally put in 2 whole rolls instead of 2 orders of 4 (or the 1 of 8) She asked if it was “okay” they were all there & I informed her I just didn’t want to have to pay for the extra roll. The manager eventually came by and told me it was a misunderstanding and they would be giving me 10% off the two rolls. It was more of a declaration than a discussion. I was flabbergasted I was asked to pay for something I let them know was incorrect before they left the table, and that I did not even order. I live over an hour away, sushi does not keep well in a to-go box for that long. The food itself was incredible again but the server never checked on us after the rolls were brought. She did ask if I needed a to-go box. She was nice other than ignoring us after the rolls were done incorrectly. I didn’t bother informing them the hand-roll was incorrect. I really, really loved this place but it went from 100 to 0 real quick. Hope someone in management sees this and realizes it bizarre at best to charge someone for something they...

I've been to this restaurant for so many times but never received such terrible service before! The food itself was great. ( the taste of their food never disappoints me, actually) Service? NOT GOOD AT ALL! The visits I had before the waiting staff was all friendly and welcoming, but this particularly waiter provided terrible service! When I first arrived I asked about the baseball special(a bowl of ramen and a glass of house wine for $15), he gave me a very unhappy look but asked the hostess to turn on the TV to see if there was a Rockies game playing. The entire time he wasn't sure if there was really a game playing! Come on! If you offer that kind of deal you really need to promote it, or at least let your customers know whether or not they can get the deal! Not just giving them an attitude when they just want to confirm with you! That waiter was serving the table next to me. He always had a smile on his face when he served them, but the smile went away right when he approached to me and my friend. It was so obvious that anyone can tell he was having trouble smiling at us, like it would kill him to do that. He even talked to the hostess about what had happened, and obviously he was teasing about us cuz they kept looking at us. I felt so uncomfortable just sitting there. I don't know what issues he had against those who just want to get the deals they deserve to get. ( oh, that guy never mentioned it was free to add extra noodles to our ramen noodle soup until we discovered it by ourselves. He was very unhappy about it cuz he thought we caused him trouble. Guess what? He told other customers about the deal but not us! ) This waiter is an Asian guy. Me and my friend will go back just for the food. If it happens to be the same guy that serves me I'll definitely ask someone else...
