I am so happy with this training program. I waited a few weeks after our dog came back and we had a follow up session to post this.
Our dog has issues with reactivity due to lack of confidence and anxiety. We were not able to walk her and have a pleasant experience because she would lunge at other dogs and certain people. She pulled so hard that my shoulder would hurt after. She is terrible with having guests over and has to be put away. She is a total angel with us and we want to provide her the best life we can!
We decided to go with a board and train after 6 months of zero success with a positive reinforcement trainer. We looked at multiple places and had decided on another place in Denver with similar training strategies. We ultimately swapped to this program since we had a friend that had their dog go through it and it was successful. Steven also spent an hour on the phone with me and discussed all of my concerns. I was very happy with the trainer to dog ratio here, the fact that it is run out of his house and that you’re able to send your dog back for board and train to learn more or refresh the basics.
Mochi came back with the tools to become an obedient dog. She did take a few days to adjust so they ended up keeping her 5 days more at no extra cost.
She is now great at heel, come and place. I really enjoy using the e collar to communicate with her. If you’re concerned about this tool, I can barely feel the setting we have her on and it’s more like a tens machine than a shock. Daniel ran our two follow up sessions (which are free) and is great at explaining the training strategy. He was also extremely communicative with me when I asked for updates on our pup which I really appreciated.
My only suggestion is to increase your dogs food intake while they are there since she lost a little bit of weight from all of the exercise.
We are now able to enjoy walks with Mochi and are looking forward to progressing even further. Thanks to the all dogs...
Read moreIf you’re shopping around for a trainer, your search is over! Steven is a miracle worker!!! About a year ago, my younger dog reached maturity and started attacking her older dog-sister. The behavior was so aggressive that over the course of six months, each dog had a visit to urgent care and I had two visits to the human urgent care. My once loving cuddle babies could no longer be in the same room with one another, which made it unbearably difficult for this single dog-mom. It was so awful, I had to consider finding one of them another home. Since that was an impossible task to even contemplate, I decided to start looking for aggression training. I found All Dogs Unleashed and enrolled them in the board and train program. Throughout their stay, I received consistent updates and feedback on their progress. I was amazed at how intuitive the staff was, especially Steven. He identified their personality traits and surprisingly, my older dog needed more personalized training, while my bad-girl dog was very responsive to the training. I appreciate so much that they took the extra time to work with them both. After the board and train, I had several one-on-one sessions with Steven and Daniel to help train ME with the dogs. This was vital to the final results. Now I know what I need to do to support their success. It has been almost a year and I can happily say that my girls can not only be in the same room together, but I will occasionally find them snuggled up together. I’ve had to make a few changes, but it’s unbelievable the progress they’ve made. I couldn’t’ve done it without this program and the excellent service provided by trainers like Steven. This experience has literally...
Read moreA year ago, we got a second puppy as a friend for our two year old lab/border collie, Riggs. We'd had few obedience problems with Riggs. Vander was a different story: He pulled on the leash, barked and lunged at other dogs on the leash, chewed baseboards in our house, and dug in the yard. We couldn't take him up to our neighborhood coffee shop and leave him outside with confidence that he wouldn't bark at everything walking by. We were at our wit's end until a neighbor recommended Steven.
After three weeks with Steven, Vander transformed from a sweet, but stubborn dog into a sweet, obedient pup. He heels nicely, stays in place for as long as you ask him to, and comes when called, even when off leash. Is he perfect? No. But he's pretty damn good and he's only been home 2.5 weeks. We keep working on the skills and drills Steven gave us and he continues to improve each week. Now Riggs looks like the problem child by comparison!
Beyond Vander's impressive behavior adjustments, Steven has been patient and communicative through the entire process. He answered our many questions at the outset, spending hours on the phone and in person outlining the training and what we could expect—and what would be expected of us. He continues to consult with us on near weekly basis, spending time with additional training to ensure we are able to build on the foundation he created. Plus Vander loves getting to see him.
Steven's enthusiasm and dedication to his work was apparent from day one—as is his love for the animals he works with. He has quite literally changed all of our lives for the better, allowing us to enjoy the love and companionship of two dogs who can join us...
