I Didn't Know What I Didn't Need But Now I Want It
This is probably one of the best hotels you're going to find on the Wasatch Front and most definitely on I-15 in this area. And that's saying something because there are some very decent hotels.
Rooms: Large, clean, and everything works. No mildew build up in the showers or half-hearted caulking to go along with a crappy paint job. The rooms feel fresh. And the shower! OMG!!! First, please don't tell the hotel they're in a drought because the water pressure was off the charts. PLUS, they've got that side jet in the shower so you can have it hit your back. I didn't know I needed that for my shower but now every hotel I go to with feel less than because of it.
Service: Great staff. I noticed some folks weren't feeling like that were being attentive and it took a little longer for someone to come from the office to the counter but I couldn't speak to the situation (on the phone, doing paperwork, etc.). It should be noted that the person was in a wheelchair and the, quite frankly, the camera just might not have seen them. So, I stepped up to the counter and then person quickly came out.
Food: Breakfast was good. Clean area. Nice, friendly, chatty, staff that made you feel like you were at someone house. The food options were a notch above normal.
Location: I worried about being so close to the freeway (noise) but it wasn't an issue. This location is prime. It's close to a lot of restaurants and shopping if needed. Easy to get to from the highway as well.
You're not going to go wrong with this hotel. I get back to Utah often and this hotel is now on my list if I'm in this location and I'm a Hilton...
Read moreThe room was very comfortable and clean. It was sort of a stay-vacation. My niece who is 15 years old had brought her puppy, I was moving stuff into the room, including trying to get the baby in the room without waking him up. A few things happened that could have gone more smoothly if the personal was just paying a bit of attention and using 'good' customer service. First, I had propped the side door open so I could come in easily with the baby, while I was at my car (that you could clearly see from the door) they shut it, so I had to walk around to the front door in the cold, the baby woke. When I walked through the lobby, I made the snide remark "thanks for closing the door", 2 employee's were there and neither said anything and no apology was made. Secondly while I was doing this my niece had tried to follow me with the puppy, they immediately kicked her out. I don't have a puppy, I didn't even think to ask the question if the puppy could be there. HOWEVER, she is clearly underage and this upset her very much, she's already going through ALOT of adult issues (not caused by her). When she walked around to the other door to try to get 'to an adult' they kicked her out again. After finding this out, I went and found her, took me about 30 minutes to calm her. We took the puppy home. Here is a better way to handle a situation like this. 1.Notice, this person looks young. 2. Politely say 'we can't have animals in the hotel' 3. Ask where the parent is? Maybe ask her to come to the lobby and we can call an adult. 4.Discuss...
Read moreGreat hotel in Draper Utah! We stayed here for 4 nights while our house was being worked on. We didn’t have any issues. The room was comfortable, cozy and just what we expected. The only thing that was different than most SpringHills is this room only had one bathroom which was fine. Most have the toilet separate from the shower but honestly I like the toilet and shower together. The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast was great every morning. I think they only have waffles on the weekends which disappointed the kids a little bit. Their croissants are really good and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Lots of eating options right outside or within a block of the hotel. They have black bear diner, a Chinese restaurant behind the hotel, a cinemark movie theater with $5 tuesdays, zupas is just south of the hotel, in and out, waffle Love is a little more south, cubby’s as well, goodwood bbq, a costa Vida a little south and east the list goes on and on. Great location the only thing is the whole weird no left turn on 12300 and state street but you can manage around it. We will stay here again if we ever need to or recommend to others as a great place to stay. The only complaint is the pool is really small but at least they have a pool. I took pics of the pool, work out area and breakfast nook along...
