It’s amazing how some of the smallest, most unassuming spots turn out to have the most delicious food and Bagel 1 is absolutely one of them.

From the outside, the place might not grab your attention, it may even seem like somewhere you wouldn't go, but don’t judge a book by it's cover! What really stood out during my visit was the service. Wael, the gentleman working the front counter, was exceptionally polite, attentive, and patient. His attention to detail and willingness to listen closely to my order, especially as someone who likes to customize their breakfast sandwiches, this was refreshing. In many bagel spots, staff can seem rushed or distracted, but Wael made the experience easy.

Whether you're a classic bacon-egg-and-cheese kind of person or someone who likes to get a little creative with your sandwich, Bagel 1 delivers quality without the chaos. The spot is low-key, but the flavor is next level.

My chicken was perfectly seasoned, tender, JUICY AND DELICIOUS , the salad it comes with is A perfect add on and not original, plus I didn’t know my platter came with fries too!?!? (Which they had a perfect crunch and not oilly.) So I was excited to dig in with the amount of variety that was on my plate. Also I couldn’t get over the fact that every bite just got better and better….Every single last BITE 🥣!!!

For a place that has milk, cheese, and butter all over the place Eddie who i met at the Sayreville store does a good job of cleaning the grille and catering to someone with a food allergy. I have a milk allergy and i can only eat half a Dorito chip (it has milk in it) without getting a reaction. If I eat a hand full of Doritos I get sick. Over Eddies i've been eating there for 6 years and never got sick. His bagels don't have milk and he makes pancakes with no milk "special for me". If you have a severe allergy to milk I would not recommend this place cause he still uses the same utensils that were touching cheese products and on the grille the oil he uses for cooking has milk.
