This is an honest review, i’m not one to leave reviews for places but my stay here almost ruined my trip away with my girlfriend to New York for xmas, so I felt I should leave a review.||I chose this hotel as was close to Manhattan and much cheaper. As this is a budget hotel, I wasn’t expecting the Four Seasons, for the price I paid I was happy with the room. It was clean and it did the job. It also had quite a nice distant view of Manhattan as well. The bathroom was clean and bed was clean and comfy. Although they only gave us 3 pillows, which isn’t a big deal, I could have probably asked for another. The TV worked fine and honestly had no issues with the room itself.||They didn’t clean our room during our 3 night stay. Not something I have experienced before from any hotel. I wasn’t overly bothered by this as we wasn’t staying for long, but they could have atleast provided fresh bathroom towels.||They offer free breakfast. Which was poor to say the least. They offered a cereal bar or packet oats. Coffee was available but they only offered artificial milk.||The hotel is quite remote. No access to anywhere. Not even a footpath. So if you don’t have a car you literally have to order a taxi to get to places. We got an Uber to Secacus Junction every day. Quite time consuming but we saved in money than if we paid for a hotel in New York so can’t complain. Just be prepared if you book this hotel that you can not walk anywhere. You can’t walk to catch a bus or train. You have to drive.||My biggest annoyance about my stay and the reason I am leaving this review is the poor customer service from the front desk. I walked by the cleaning staff several times and they were all friendly and said good morning. However, we were not greeted by the front desk on arrival. Infact, the man at the desk at the time was having an argument with a customer over the phone and slammed the phone down on him as we arrived. Not a great first impression.||My first morning I went down to get coffee. And thought I would make conversation with the women on the desk. Me and my girlfriend we’re heading into Manhattan that morning so I asked if she knew the best way into Manhatten from the hotel. She literally replied with a blunt “no”. That was all I got. “No”. Not even a I’m really sorry i’m not sure. Just a “no”. This wasn’t really a big deal as I knew how to get to Manhatten, I was just making conversation. ||My biggest problem which almost ruined our trip, was on our last day our flight back to the UK wasn’t until 8pm. So we had all day to spend in New York and we booked tickets to go to Metlife Stadium to watch the Jets play. Check out was 11am. So we checked out assuming we could leave our suitecase with the hotel whilst we went out for the day. The same women who’s response was “No” told me she could not store our suitcase as there was no where to store it. I have never stayed in a hotel where they would not keep hold of luggage after checkout for the day. There was plenty of space where she could hold 1 suitcase. The area behind the desk was huge. But she said “we have to leave room for the mail LOL”.|| I even asked if I could pay for an extra night just so we could keep the bag in the room. And she said you will have to go back on Expedia and book. The hotel wasn’t full. If she really had no space on the front desk she could have let us leave the bag in the room for a few more hours surely. It is this kind of thing that customers will remember and book a stay again.||Luckily In the end, we found a luggage store place in New York that cost 5 dollars. So we did that. Actually worked out more convenient. Otherwise we would not have been able to go watch the football game carrying a suitcase with us. That women needs firing. Poor customer service if I have ever seen it. Because of this women I will not be staying with this chain again. She is rude and dis interested in customer satisfaction. She should not have a job working front desk in a...

Read moreIf I can give them zero stars that I would. This is by far the worst hotel I ever been in. They are nothing but scammers and they rob you and overcharge you. I arrived to the hotel walking up the staircase it smelled like mildew. When I got to the second floor which was supposed to be non-smoking it smelled like cigarette, cigar, and weed smell very badly. My eyes were burning from it. Then when I got into the room it was even worse. There was so much grease all over the cabinets kitchen counter and the floor. The floor was extremely sticky. The room smelled like marijuana and cigarettes. There was leftover marijuana on top of the refrigerator and behind the refrigerator was a very strong smell. When I tried to use the bathroom there was Private pubic hair on the seat. I tried to take a shower and the bathtub felt like it was going to cave in. There was so much hair in the bathroom and the water smelled like sewage. I had then went down to the lobby to ask to change rooms. They did put me in another room on the third floor which was extremely worse than the first room. The smell was so bad that it actually made me sick and I had to throw up a couple times. I ended up trying to take a shower in which I could not complete because I had to leave out of there. I had then went down to the lobby and asked if I can go back to the other room from the beginning because they said they had no other room to put me in because all the rooms are dirty. They said they had no housekeeping because they left for the day. So to make a long story short I ended up going back to the first room. I had to sleep with a blanket over my head which was my own comforter from my car to keep the smell out. Then what I woke up within the 5 hours that I was there to go to work . When I got out of work I found out that they charged me and additional $484 for asking to change rooms. I had done gone down to the lobby to speak to one of the managers. He said he could not help me because the cleaning crew went to go in my room to clean it and said that it smelled like weed and cigarettes and they took pictures of what was left over in the room from the other people. They ended up charging me for the smell of cigarettes and weed which was not from me at all. That is why I changed the room in the first place. And then they charge me changing into another room and trying to take a shower in which I could not and ask to go back to the other room. It was just a mess I ended up contacting the police made a police report and contacted corporate. I stayed there for one night and I have an invoice of a total of $1, 128.36. and also because they thought that I was still in the second room they had came to the room and took pictures of my laptop which had a camera on it the whole time while I was at work. Also while the police were at the hotel they had asked the manager for the corporate phone number. The manager gave the police and myself his own business card and told us that it was corporate's number and to make a complaint through that business card. But in the meantime that business card was his own phone number.||Please people be very careful. If you walk into a room and it smells like cigarette smoke, mildew, or weed and they do not clean it. Then they can charge you for that smell when you leave. Also beware when you ask to change rooms due to a unhealthy toxic environment. They will charge you for that too. I am definitely getting a lawyer and fighting this charge I also have the police report in corporate to back it up. Attached is my invoice for only staying there for one day not even 24 hours.||My corporate case number is 36222901||The correct email and phone number for corporate is the guest relations team at guestrelations@esa.com or 877-651-2124.. it is not the business card that the hotel manager gave me that was his own card that he wanted me to make a complaint towards and lied. He gave me his own business card to myself and the police and told us that was the corporate's...
