German Doner Kebab — Restaurant in East Rutherford

09/03/2021 My family and I visited the German Doner Kebab in American Dream New Jersey. I ordered food for $ 47.91 and swiped my card in their cash register. After a few moments, the cashier said that I should swipe the card again since my first payment did not pass. I was extremely surprised and asked her is it certain that my payment did not pass. After the affirmative answer, I swiped my card a second time. After the second time, the cashier reported that my payment did not pass the second time and called the manager. I went to my mobile app and saw that I already have 2 pending payments from German Doner Kebab 47.91 each. I told the manager that I already have two pending payments and in a couple of days I will have to pay for them. After several manipulations with the cash register, the manager and another employee of this restaurant informed me that my payment had not passed and that I had to pay for my order again! This time I paid for it in cash. (The receipt is attached)

Today I found out that I was billed for two orders of $ 47.91 each, plus I paid in cash for the same order. I don't have time to go to New Jersey and prove my case. So as not to run into another dispute. So I applied to my bank.

I do not advise paying at this restaurant with a bank card, as they have problems with their cash register.

To be honest, now I'm not sure if it was a deliberate deception or just a system error. They assured me that they had frequent problems with their cash register and that I would not have any problems in the future and I would not receive an invoice for these payments. As it turned out, everything is the opposite. I paid for the same order three times. Now I'm waiting for my bank's decision. I don't want to go to New Jersey and explain them their mistake, any more. The food here was so flavorful and easily the best Doner kabob I have ever tried. My brother and I ended up getting the boss box with the original doner, a doner box with fries, and the doner krunch burger. The boss box was great and came with everything one person would need and let's you try a good amount of what they have to offer. What is best about this restaurant is the sauces and flavor of the meat.It's a got a unique taste and is properly seasoned. The sauces were all really flavorful and they aren't sauces normally found in a kabob restaurant. They tasted similar to sauces from Latin cuisine, hence why they are probably the best sauces I have tried for a Mediterranean restaurant. Not only that, but you get a rather abundant amount inside the box or the doner original. I liked the doner krunch burger the least out of everything, mainly because they used cool ranch doritos instead of the original cheese flavor.If they had the cheese flavor instead, it would have been better.I'm not sure if they were out of cheese doritos at that time or if it always comes with cool ranch. The picture definitely seemed to be cheese flavored. The cheese sauce on top of it all was all I could taste so it is not the best design for a sandwich. They recently added bowls that come with rice and salad which was a good portion and as flavorful as other things here. The rice and salad may be somewhat bland, but the white sauce used makes up for it. I would definitely recommend getting extra sauce and even fries to go along with the bowl. I recently visited the German Doner Kebab (GDK) restaurant in American Dream Mall for the first time, and I was absolutely blown away by the food and the service.
