Very, very displeased! The new battery I purchased from American Battery for over $200 died while under warranty. American Battery claimed the warranty is void if the battery dies and goes below a certain voltage.
I put in a replacement battery from another car to verify my car had no slow drain or alternator issue. My replacement battery has had no issue whatsoever. So, I know my vehicle has no issues.
So, when I first brought American Battery the bad battery (it was drained to a low voltage), they did say, "We will see what we can do". When I called a few days later, an employee clearly stated they would get a new battery for me free under warranty. This employee said battery would be ordered.
Weeks later, when I called again, after waiting for about 15 minutes, their story changed. Now, they said they would do nothing under warranty.
Obviously, American Battery has been inconsistent in their messages to me. When I tried to explain this to Mike", he said I was the one that shouldn't be surprised by this inconsistent messaging. He raised his voice and was very rude.
In my entire life, I have never received such poor service! Batteries that go bad lose voltage! After my car wouldn't start, I did wait some time before bringing the battery. However, why should that...
Read moreI bought a battery here 3 months ago. I put it in my car but my car never started. My car was left at a mechanic shop and recently told my car is not fixable.. I called Rob last week and explained my situation, he said to go ahead and bring it in and he would take it back. I went in a couple days later and Rob was not there, staff did not want to help me. I called the next day and spoke to a woman that looked up my invoice and said she would make a copy and give it to Rob. Rob called me the next day and left me a Voicemail stating to come in. I went in the next day and Rob said he wont take it back stating there was mis communication, eventhough i had explained to him over the phone and he left me a voicemail telling me to come in. He offered to buy it from me for $5.50 or sell it on craigslist. I paid almost 90 dollars for this.If he would have been honest and told me from the start he wouldnt take it back during our communication I wouldnt have wasted my time. I work at a nearby car dealership and I'll make sure we take our business...
Read moreAmerican Battery is the only place I will ever go too for all of my battery needs. All of my friends and family are believers now as well. Getting my car battery changed is the easiest part to fix on my whole car. If you can get your car to the shop then you can leave the battery in your car. You just pull up tell them you need a battery and they may have a few choices of warranty length and therefore price. You get out of the car to go sign the paperwork and by the time you finish your car is finished! Hurray! They do everything for you - ZERO HASSLE. Also, if the battery goes out before the warranty is up then they will prorate the amount left towards your next battery! They obviously stand by their batteries and their work. THANK YOU AMERICAN...
