I would have given 5 stars BUT the beds including the pillows were horrible. My husband and I woke up with tight and sore backs every morning. The 2nd night I slept with my head at the foot of the bed and it was better. I couldn’t even use the pillow it was like it was filled with air so I used my sweater as a pillow. We stayed 3 nights. There is space under the door when it’s shut big enough to feel a draft and see the street lights shine through. We just put pillows in front to make it a little darker. On a good note it was clean and very cute and cozy looking. The location was excellent and a few minutes from downtown. We did like the fact that the cleaners don’t come in at all to make beds or clean up during your entire stay. We don’t like to worry about our stuff disappearing. You can get as much ice as you need from the little ice room. And also if you need more towels washcloths or toilet paper you have to get your own from the closet in the office area. We found that out the hard way. I loved the mini fridge/freezer. Big enough for some groceries and milk or frozen ice cream. They furnish shampoo conditioner body soap and hand soap all great quality brands! Also furnished is a great brand of coffee for the kurig. The outside sitting area is really nice and you can sit by the propane fire they have between 7pm and 10pm every night. If you have a problem you have to send them a text/email so there is no human you can ask directly but they respond quickly. But based on the beds alone we...
Read moreGreat place for the money, my wife and I were happy overall. Salt water pool is a nice bonus! But it's next to a very noisy road, and as of now there are only four lounge chairs. Memory foam mattress is medium-firm, but we slept well on it, didn't wake up with any back pain... though memory foam does trap heat so turn the temp way cold so you don't wake up really hot like we did the first night. On Airbnb they don't list the motel room numbers, but if you get on booking com you'll see them. Unlike every other hotel/motel we've ever stayed at, the 200 rooms are not upstairs, they are all downstairs, which we didn't discover until after booking. Only the 300s are upstairs. Host: please have room service stop spraying chemical air freshener in the rooms just before arrival. My wife is very sensitive to chemicals/smells and it really bothered her the first day until it subsided. Every time the AC kicked on, it was very loud, waking us up often the first night until we adjusted to it. The bathroom ceiling is less than 7 ft high, so if you're 6'10" or taller you may have to crouch the entire time in the tiny bathroom and shower. Also there's no bathroom vent. But overall for the price this...
Read moreI can't say enough good about this place, I would give 10 stars if I could! We had such a great experience, we haven't stopped sharing it with everyone we know that's looking for a nice getaway. We were thrilled to meet the owners Chuck and Julie. She was at the front desk all weekend and was very helpful. Chuck even smoked everyone some wild pig, cornbread, beans and fat boy brownies and put on a great lil shindig one night by the pool! We met several friendly guest while there and just spent our nights out by the pool chatting away. The room was very open and rustic with everything we needed. The towels, which may seem odd to include, were very thick and absorbent which you don't normally find in hotel stays. The decor and furniture in the rooms were very unique and were surprised to find out Chuck had built it all. The deck and pool area are very inviting! They have turned this hotel into a rare find in this area, and I feel confident it will be harder next time to find a vacancy here! The price was incredible for the area and even more so for the quality of the rooms. We were sad to check out and can't wait for our...
