For starters, let’s just say we have been camping for a few years and been looking for a good group spot to camp with a big family of 20 people. 8 being kids. I couldn’t find any helpful reviews so I’m hoping this will help before you book. We stayed on site BMBC which is site C when you get there. I’ll list the pros and cons
PROS: Nice size spot, held 3 ten man tents 2 8 man and a 12 man. Then 2 smaller tents. You get a fire pit and about 3 bench tables Some shade but not a lot I loved how we were all close to each other You are close to bathroom Water spout right next to your area Pretty secluded and you can’t see the other campers With your parking pass you can get into all the other areas for free like beals point and granite bay beach area
Cons : The map made it seem like you are close to the water but you are not You have to pack up and drive to the nearest water spot They do not have showers Lots of poison oak Some spots did have an angle to them You have to take your own trash to big dumpster or it will pile up at your camp spot
I don’t think we will come back just because we like to camp right by the water or walking distance so the kids can swim and we can still keep an eye on all our camping gear since we have a lot of expensive stuff. But overall we had a good time and the spot is really nice. Just depends on what you are looking for at a camp site . Thankfully we had a portable...
Read moreWe stayed two night at camp ground C. It was the worst camping experience I’ve ever had. I usually go camping every year. This camp site is so close to a crowded road. There were so many cars passing over the road that we couldn’t get relaxed or sleep. They didn’t clean the bathrooms and they didn’t empty the trash can for two days. The bathroom doors were closed in the first night and there was no soap in the bathrooms. There isn’t lots of shade and it’s not a green campsite. In the picture, it seems the lake is close to the campsite but you don’t have the lake view...
Read moreSpent a September 3 day weekend here with our troop. The camp site was large enough to hold 50 persons, very dusty. There is a walking and bike path near our the camp site. The parking lot was very large to hold all the vehicles of our group and still had plenty of room to hold a bike rodeo and toss around a football or kick around a soccer ball. The bathrooms were ok. There is no shower or soap, so bring your own I suggest liquid soap; place also needs something like hooks on the walls to hang a...
