This museum is on Sutter St. Which is the main street of Historic Folsom. You come upon it about one short block from the tram station. It's easy to miss because it's tucked back from the sidewalk and looks like another storefront.
This is a great starting point for anyone visiting to see this gold mining town because you learn about how it became a gold mining town, why it was named Folsom, and how it has fared as a city right up to present time.
It is very small . The exhibits are very interesting and well presented, and some are interactuve. The difficulty I had, and a contributing factor to my rating, was the difficulty in reading the exhibit placards because so many were down low.

Entrance is by donation, which is incredible considering everything the kids got to do. I wanted to write this review in hopes more people will come and support this...

Great to see people invest in what they do and not just take up space. They made the visit to the museum so much...
