Zero Stars ⚠️NO ONE GO TO LAKE NATOMA INN⚠️ Updated to add pictures. MY DAUGHTER'S SHORTS WERE BLEACHED 99.9% IN 10MINS OF BEING IN THE JACUZZI. STAFF DID NOTHING EXCEPT LIE AND SAY THEY WOULD DRAIN THE JACUZZI AND START FRESH- BUT IT WAS OPEN FOR ALL THE MOMS AND THEIR KIDS THE NEXT DAY STILL. THEY TREATED ME LIKE I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT AND DIDN'T HAVE GROUND TO STAND ON... BUT JUST THEN, !ANOTHER! CUSTOMER CAME UP AND HER SONS BOXERS WERE BLEACHED, AND HER BRACELET DETERIORATED AND FELL OFF ⚠️⚠️⚠️ EXPEDIA OFFERED ME A REFUND. I STAYED HERE BEFORE WEDDING & WEDDING NIGHT HERE BEFORE, AND WAS JUST TRYING TO BRING MY DAUGHTER HERE FOR MOTHERS DAY. Our experience is now forever ruined. THE BREAKFAST STAFF RAISED THEIR VOICE AND REFUSED TO SERVE ME. AND LATER, A "MANAGER" (who didn't even introduce or deescalate at all, just came up from behind and started yelling at us to leave). The other lady whose son was effected by the Jacuzzi as well, told me that she SMELLED ALCOHOL ON HIS BREATH. Once he started yelling, I called the cops to mediate. ZERO REASONS TO STAY HERE EVER AGAIN, EXCEPT THE NICE BARTENDER/CAFE GUY THAT WAS THERE & THE JANITOR THAT OFFERED ME WATER BOTTLE, BOTH FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE. THAT'S IT. THE SERVER IN THE MORNING WAS HORRIBLE AND REFUSED TO SERVE ME. Other facts about our stay: There was also water damage in our bathroom, with obvious other repairs. No complimentary soaps/lotions, and everything is closed and locked in place. Smudges were seen on table when we walked in, unfortunately my camera is not the best, and only picked up the biggest smudge. There was letters from the hotel, saying for the "environment", they aren't doing house cleaning for guests that stay 2-days. As well as a letter warning that if their was damage to furniture, they would fine $350. They have a vending machine downstairs, that accepts card, but charges over $3 for bottle of water. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ZERO STARS. DO NOT RECOMMENDED. One of the worst days of my life.

We stayed one night. Secured our room from the front desk and proceeded to inspect it. Initial inspection of the bed showed small blood spots on the sheets, leaving the impression that the sheets were not cleaned/sanitized. After reporting this to the front desk, they were happy to switch me to a different room since there was nobody on site to change the linens till the following morning. Inspection of the second room yielded better results, though the bathroom handle was broken. Leaving the hotel after check-in was...eventful. one of the elevators had vomit all over the floor. This was shortly after happy-hour. I was forced to lean into the elevator, call it to a different floor and wait for it to leave before calling another elevator. This was reported to the front desk. We were also told that the stairs only took us down and outside and we're not accessible other than that. The following morning, I proceeded to the lobby to check out. The elevator still smelled of vomit, though the mess was cleaned up. The staff were kind and inviting, though I had higher hopes/expectations for this resort.

Initial impression was great! The person who heckled us in basically let us pick where we wanted to stay (away from the elevator but not the end of the hallway, and not facing the parking lot). She even let us check in early due to arriving from the airport early.

But the next days were a different story. I was there for a conference and the wifi for the conference was shoddy at best. The fruit that was offered prior to the conference starting was not ripe (I get some fruit is not in season, but then don't serve it!) and the pastries were nonexistent when I arrived, still 20 minutes before the start of the conference. Lunch was better, but the rice was not cooked all the way and many (more than half) of the pieces were still crunchy.

But what was the worst was the horrible smell on the floor (2nd) once we got off the elevator after the conference. Smelled like a bunch of wet, stinky dogs had rolled around the carpeting in the hallways several weeks ago and the smell was never removed. The kicker is, we never smelled this offensive odor when we checked in, or prior to the start of the conference.

The conference ran until 12p on Sunday, but check out is at 11A. When I asked about a later check-out, they said the latest they would accept would be 12p before an additional charge ($39 plus applicable taxes up until 2p, and then after 2p would be another full day's charge). No care that the conference didn't end until 12p, or that our flight wasn't until 7p and didn't have a car. I had hoped to be able to get finished with the conference and take a shower immediately afterwards and then check out, but I couldn't even do that.

The room was nice-ish. The windows slide open to allow fresh air in, which is great. The beds are super hard, something my back was not happy about. There is no working fan in the bathroom, the toilet is so loud when they are flushed that you are disturbed by them in the middle of the night by your neighbor next to you and above you, and the light switch for the bathroom is outside and also turns on a light above the minibar area which is just outside the bathroom. So if you're staying with someone who needs to get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, you'll be awaken by the light above the bar initially and then of the loud toilet flush.

If you're coming to Folsom for an event, this hotel is do-able, but if you're wanting a quality stay, you might consider looking elsewhere for the time being. There were signs talking of ADA improvements in the works, so I'm not sure if those improvements are the cause of the smell (though I seriously doubt it) or the shoddy internet during the conference, but I can't say I would openly recommend this hotel to stay for a vacation.

Also, the map they gave us was of Old Folsom, which is within walking distance from the hotel. While these shops were cute in nature, their opening hours vary from 1030A to 11A. It wasn't until our last day, thanks to our Uber driver going back to the air, that we realized there's more to the town than...

So where do I begin 1st the location is great especially for out of town guest. The staff was very friendly and bar staff was amazing HOWEVER we used this venue for my daughters wedding and reception and reserved about 15 or more rooms for 100 guest. When I met the coordinator she was pleasant and the lobby area and outside was very nice. We planned the wedding over a year I really didn’t think I needed to check what the rooms looked like but when we checked In I instantly knew these rooms were Motel quality. The doors were all Scratched up and the hall smelled a bit like pet or some sort of Oder but it was to late this was the day before the wedding so we made do. Now wedding day everything was fine but the catering is a BIG NO. The food was cold bland and under cooked. Most of the guest didn’t eat because it was more like senior citizen bland food although we were very detailed in wanting food cooked well done as well as highly seasoned . Also they do not clean rooms and charged me a cleaning fee when we were in the room for 3 days and the bridal party got ready in the rooms with hairstylist and make up artist in the rooms while getting dressed for the big day. Because the bride and bridesmaids were sort of ordered to stay in the room so that the groom would not see her before the ceremony we ordered food trays and appetizers for the room all day long as we had a 5 pm wedding start time line. If they cleaned daily there wouldn’t be excess of items to clean. Also the coordinator is there Wend - Sunday so if you need quick responses to questions this is not the place for you. Our wedding was over at 10pm and some of us headed up to the room because some of us had early flights only to be shocked that downstairs there was another party going on still and it sounded like the dj was in the room with us it was so loud and did not end until 1130 when we were told it would be done at 11. They had no consideration for the hotel quest which was definitely something I feel should be communicated...
