Grand Forno Bakery in Fort Lauderdale is a gem that truly captures the essence of authentic European baking. From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed by a warm and friendly staff, with Victoria leading the way in exceptional service. She, along with the entire team, makes you feel right at home. The quality of the bread here is simply unmatched—baked fresh daily with a beautiful crust and perfect texture. Each loaf bursts with flavor and authenticity, reminiscent of a traditional European bakery. Whether it’s their classic baguettes or artisanal loaves, you can taste the care and expertise in every bite. The team’s passion for what they do is evident not only in the quality of their baked goods but also in the superb customer service. They’re always ready to offer recommendations, with a super friendly and helpful approach that elevates the entire experience. Grand Forno Bakery has set the bar high, and it’s an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves quality bread and outstanding service.

Really great breads, savory and sweet and pastries on Las Olas Blvd. They serve Illy coffee (but use dark roast 😭 ). 3 stars only because the person behind the counter behaved as though she was doing us an extraordinary favour. When we decided to place another order she was positively exasperated! Why didn't we order all at once?!?! Why did we eat some of our order there when we ordered it to go!?!?! Um... What the? Obviously it is good we tasted our order - it caused us to want to order significantly more. Math much? Thankfully the experience was saved by a proprietor coming from the back. He was delighted to answer questions and sell us more items. We have returned since and confirmed that the young ladies hired to fill orders need customer retention training or maybe to just be fired. Be nice! We are paying for the delicious food and expected to tip you! I don't believe in rewarding bad service. That said, the goods sold here are all delicious.

Breads are excellent. Muffins are excellent (Multiberry muffin was great and comes in grain and regular, there's also blueberry, chocolate chip, peach (summer special?), and banana nut) Sandwiches and salads are yummy. I'm a tomato snob and sometimes their tomatos are mushy, but otherwise the sandwiches are yum. The quiche is also delicious. Never had the cooked meals. Go early, things sell out. They try news things, so there's always a chance of something new (there were nutella bombolini - donuts that were AMAZING, but I only saw them once - please bring them back!) They also got a new espresso gelato machine thats delicious. The cookies seem authentic, but in not an expert there. Negatives: -Staff is sometimes a little cold. -no clear pricing -the tart case is terrible - we tossed out two! - the fruit was old, the gel hard, the crusts too thick (stick to breads/baked goods and you're golden)

I am only giving 4 stars for the bakery goods which are to die for. Some of the things are absolutely delicious. I don't care for everything especially the service and the little lady who seems to be the mgr. NOT a nice person to me! Always seems to have an arrogant attitude like you used to get in a French restaurant years ago. Like she was doing me the favor to separate me from my hard earned money. Went in there this morning at 8:30 to get something I love and was told it was in the oven and didn't know when it would be ready. Well I bake and that is pretty much not true. I spent $30 for a few items I mean a few went back later and spent $11 more for 2 pizza slices. It's just delicious. It's expensive. Bought 1 lb. of asst. cookies a piece of quiche (tomato & bacon) delicious & some kind of stuffed piece of pizza for my friend also delicious. I was disappointed about no sfogliatelle though. They are scrumptious. One of the best things I have eaten in my 65 years as a resident of this planet. So I went back after going to the beach for a few hours at 10:30 and was then told we don't have that today. I said really? Why did you tell me they were in the oven? Just to get me out of you face? They even know I go there there most days in my electric chair because I am disabled. Mgr. lady doesn't even say sorry for your trouble nada, nothing. Just like too bad so sad MF'er. Come here pay our ridiculous prices and get treated like crap. Not my style. I don't expect much these days but my goodness is there no accountability just because you run an upper class bakery on Las Olas? I got treated better in Publix on Andrews ave. yesterday. Yes I will go back but don't think I will leave anything in their tip bucket. TIP also means courteous & thoughtful. They have never been that but today was over the top. And I am pissed I didn't get my...

There are many criteria to judge a restaurant or a bakery. One of them is quality Customer service. I had a slight issue with an item I purchased from Gran Forno Bakery on East Las Olas Blvd in Fort Lauderdale. What my issue was is not important. What is important was how my issue was resolved.

Let me first state for the record, I love Gran Frono bread! The olive bread, sour dough, ciabatta, walnut raison, you name it and I love it. I have been a Customer since I moved to the area 7 years ago. When I emailed Gran Forno with my issue, Marieta Sarafova, Gran Forno Manager, responded with empathy and concern that my recent experience was not up to their standards. Ms. Sarafova offered me a number of options I could choose from to make up for my disappointing experience.

I went into the bakery today with a printout of my email from Ms. Sarafova and Gran Frono Bakery went above and beyond what was offered as recompense.

Every Restaurant or Bakery will at some time flub something up. However, it is how they react to the situation the either makes them shine or be tossed to the curb like yesterday’s stale bread!

Gran Frono Bakery shines brightly with their great Customer Service! They’ve made a long-term...

We have been good clients of Gran Forno since it opened so many years ago. And with Leone and his wife making this fine bakery only better as the years go by, it is always a pleasure to pop in every week for our needs. We buy fresh ciabattine or rosette and freeze them in ziplock bags. Then as we need, thaw them out and they are as fresh as they were just baked. Delicious!

But this bakery is so much more... As a new patron, you will be enticed by the wonderful aroma emanating from the kitchen from blocks away, as you stroll down Las Olas Blvd or drive by with your windows open. You should follow the invitation with your nose, because the selection of outstanding breads, fresh paninis, fresh pizzas and delectable pastries, as well as aromatic espressos, will reward your palate in more ways than one.

Inviting and spotless, with great atmosphere both indoor and with umbrella covered street side seating, the friendly and smiling staff eager to take your order. And the food? Tutto buonissimo! You will not be disappointed :)

Visit where the locals go... And if you're local, don't miss making Gran Forno your...
