Went in to have someone look at my mother’s phone that had fallen and was told it could not be repaired. My husband took advantage of the visit and asked about having his cracked screen replaced. Carlos was the one to help us and he changed the screen...the first time there were still weird spots that could be seen on the screen and the proximity sensor wouldn’t work. He went on to replace the screen one more time and it looked as if the spots were gone. While we were having my husband’s phone looked at, he mentioned that he had an iPhone 5s he would sell to us for my mom but he had it at home, we proceeded to agree on coming back the next day to pick the phone up. The next day, my husband noticed there was something a little off with the push screen on his iPhone 6s so we decided to mention it when we went to pick up the phone for my mom. It took over an hour for the technician to figure out that the Iphone he was going to sell us was not working. He mentioned that he felt bad about the wait, almost 3 hours, and would find us an iPhone 6 for the same price. We agreed and mentioned that we lived out of state but to let us know when he had it on Monday or Tuesday, days he suggested, so that my mom could go pick it up. He then proceeded to work on my husband’s phone and returned it, according to him fully functional. Long story short, the proximity sensor does not work AT ALL; the screen does not turn on while on a call and to top it off, never heard from him about the iPhone for my mom after I tried contacting him multiple times. We went back on Saturday only to be told that Carlos was off and no other technician could take a look at the issue on my husband’s phone and to go back Monday once Carlos came back, which was imposible for us as we were leaving to go back home to NC. Overall, he could have had the manners to at least let me know that he didn’t have a phone or couldn’t find one, instead, I waited around and now my mom is phone-less for longer than expected and my husbands phone is not working as it was prior to the screen replacement. What kind of warranty does not allow other technicians to look at a phone? So...
Read moreJust tried to get my ipad fixed (still dont have it back.) They have it back to me with a home button that was sticking out enough to be knocked out. The biggest complaint I have is that they tried to make me pay for it. They gave me some terrible excuse about the screen not having enough adhesive to be able to support the button.
Im terribly sorry but that is ridiculous.
Just get your act together and do it right the first time. A lot of people like me depend on the ipad for buisness and get really held back without one. Repairs should be as fast and as painless as possible. So far very disapointed.
Edit/ update.
They "fixed it" so now the home button is sunk into the screen by enough to feel it. NOW there's a new problem. The ipad is turning off and on randomly. If there was a zero star rating they would have earned it. Do not bring your things here for repair.
Day 4 Still haven't heard back from them.
Day 10 Just got a call from the manager and apprently they ruined my screen with a new hot plate which is used in the repair. so new parts were ordered. Here is the problem. He informed me that the repair would be completed at the best of their abilities and may not be as good as it once was. What's the point of a repair if it does not bring it back to factory? Take your devices to apple and it will be.
Still confused by how he will be making it right because like an election it's all promises with no concrete action plan.
Down the street there are...
Read moreWe went in to have the battery repaired on an iPhone, and they said that that would cost $59.95. After three days they called and said that the phone had water damage, even though we had no recollection of the phone being exposed to water. They said after reviewing the phone, the price was now going to be $160! This was for an iPhone 6. After two weeks we went in to pick up the phone (yes...it took that long!), and realized that the camera, which was working before, now no longer worked. We brought it back, and they said that this will be an additional $100 to fix it. We said, "isn't it unusual that a camera that was working prior to us dropping it off is now not working, and you're going to charge us for it?" At this point I asked if they would have the manager of the store call me up personally...now none of the conversation we had with them was either adversarial, nor were there any negative comments whatsoever. Later that afternoon we received a phone call from a gentleman at the store who was extremely adversarial, and was obviously looking to pick a fight on the phone. We went straight to the store, where the gentleman seemed to be perplexed that I was not Hispanic? My friend is Russian, and her English isn't the greatest, but she has no issues with communication. The gentleman kept ranting and raving about our communication skills and whether we wanted to do a "deal," in order to get the phone fixed. At this point I just asked for the phone back, which he gave me with many snide comments. After we got the phone, we realized that the camera WAS working and that we were being played for a scam. Sadly we see businesses like this taking advantage of people who they feel are vulnerable. Needless to say, we will never do business with these stores ever again and we are filing a complaint with the Better...
