There are people who teach yoga, and then there are people like Heather (the owner) who live it. She is one of the rare women I’ve met in my life who not only supports other women, but actively uplifts them in ways that are powerful, generous, and deeply real. Heather has a gift, not just for teaching, but for guiding with humility and heart. She never positions herself above anyone, but walks beside you, showing the way without ego. She’s endlessly intelligent and passionate about sharing what she knows, and she does it in a way that makes you feel seen, capable, and connected. Her impact reaches well beyond the walls of her studio; it’s in the lives she’s touched, the confidence she’s helped build, and the healing she’s made possible for so many. I know this not just from my own experience, but from the stories I’ve heard from others who’ve been shaped by her presence. Heather doesn’t just create a yoga space, she creates a home. Read moreThis review is for @yoga_with_giuls who rents space at Las Olas yoga a few times a week for prenatal pregnancy yoga classes. For her maternity yoga class schedule times follow her on Instagram @yoga_with_giuls where she post her weekly schedule. Giuls maternity yoga teaching has trained my body and mind throughout pregnancy to be more connected to myself and my baby. Her angelic voice guided me throughout my pregnancy to prepare my body and mind for my pregnancy journey. I started around 16 weeks and my last class I was full term. Many students start her prenatal classes around 8 weeks. Her class is more than yoga, she trains your mind to feel confident in your body, respect your body, and also has built a community of women who become friends throughout their pregnancy journeys. she also does a wonderful job of teaching you how to connect with your baby throughout your pregnancy. She also finishes class with readings and essential oil cold towels to complete the mind, body, body connection. These classes have been my favorite part...

Felt pretty relaxed towards the end and was able to get into some meditative states in a couple of the poses! I was a bit unfamiliar with some of the poses so personally I think a bit slower instruction or more overt instructions on where to put our hands and feet would have been helpful, though I'm sure non-beginners don't have this problem. Also, the studio felt a bit warm initially but it seemed like it cooled down a bit towards the end, so that was good.
Will definitely think...
