Booked this a few months out for Memorial Day weekend using Hilton points (30K each, or equivalent to $95 per night). You get here via an unmarked random side alley off the main road that we almost passed EVERY time, but the location is a little away from main roads and they have nicely landscaped it so it feels a little rural surrounded by sunflowers and grasses. The parking lot is well lit and they have a private security vehicle driving around all night. Absolutely nothing in walking distance. Staff were moderately friendly. The place smells and looks new, which is great. Exercise room (oddly right at the entry door and breakfast area so EVERYONE looks at you working out). Pool, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, outdoor party string lights and tables and grills. The rooms are very large with all the accessories - large TV, kitchen sink and garbage disposal, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, and utensils. There are room separation curtains so you get a little feeling of privacy. Nice large and hot shower with bathroom pump dispensers of soap, shampoo, and conditioner. They provide no overview or paperwork about the rooms so unclear if we are supposed to clean our own dishes or what. Also, unclear if you ever get room cleaning (we did NOT), which kind of makes the in-room coffee maker pointless if they aren't refilling the coffee pods. Does all of this sound perfect for families - well it would be and clearly the word is out because this place was like Lord of the Flies - children everywhere bouncing off stuff, running outside, using the pool until 11PM at night, and tearing into the breakfast options and waffle toppings like wild uncontrolled animals. The breakfast is your basic Holiday Inn Express type but because of all the kids (hotel was sold out), the breakfast area looked like a tornado waste land every time I went down with most the coffee empty, the hot selections empty, the bagels gone, the dregs in the oatmeal container, and the counter absolutely covered with chocolate chips and syrup and waffle batter. We were on a high floor (and could still hear a little bit of the 30 person pool party at 11PM) but generally found the room nice and quiet (felt well insulated for sound) and could get nice and dark with their provided dark shades. The room has a window based air conditioner, kind of surprised new properties are still getting those old things, but it worked fine if not a little loud. Surprisingly (never seen this before), they even have a number of reserved parking spots for Diamond Hilton members. Overall, it is a nice place that we wouldn't mind staying at again and depending on what you are looking for, could be a great affordable option for...
Read moreWhile I haven't had the chance to stay at Home 2 Suites myself, I live in the area and can already vouch for its exceptional location, especially for those attending sporting events. The proximity to the stadiums and sportsplex is a definite advantage.
Moreover, the hotel provides a range of dining options, from quick and convenient choices like Schlotzsky's and Panda Express to more upscale experiences. You can enjoy fine dining at places like Pappadeaux, or explore local favorites such as The Social House, which is just a short drive away. Home 2 Suites seems to cater to every palate and preference, making it an enticing choice for residents and out-of-town...
Read moreLocation super sketchy pulling in. We left a Mother’s Day gift in room accidentally and called couple hours later but no turn in by staff. So staff will steal from you! Yes I know because we walked out and made sure door was locked, the cleaning staff was standing in hall way and asked if we are checked out. Very disappointed in them stealing from us the bag had signs all over it saying happy Mother’s Day with a purse inside that had a dragon fly on it that is special to my friend that lost her mother, mother loved dragon flies. Do not stay there “thieves”. Breakfast had no silverware, no bowls, no juice, breakfast was terrible. Could hear guy next door...
