It was the absolute worst Hilton we have ever stayed in. To start with we were traveling 11+ hours to get there so before we left I called. Spoke to someone on location I advised her that we were getting a late start, and it would be after midnight when we got in. I expressed to her concern because the app was not allowing me to check in. I told her that I needed to be assured that everything was good with our reservation. She promised me everything was great, and I had nothing to worry about. So we drove with two teenagers and arrived about 1:30am. When we walked in no one was anywhere to be found. After several minutes standing there I finally called the number, and this guy picked up saying that he hadn't heard us come in. So finally he gets to the counter my family and I are absolutely exhausted. We only have a few hours that we will be able to rest before we have to go the show that we were there to attended. He takes his dear sweet time with giving us a room. Once he gives us the keys we head straight up to the room. It's not the right room it's a king. We reserved back in August of last year (may show a month ago because room became cheaper so I cancelled the one I had and rebooked it). So here we go all the way back downstairs to let him know that we have two teenagers and that we needed the room we booked with two queens and a pull out. He states that he doesn't have one because he had to move someone for a maintenance issue. Then he tells me that we will just have to make due until the next evening. I tell him that's unacceptable due to the fact I have to have somewhere for the kids to sleep. That the only reason we had reserved a room that was further way from the show was because of the set up. He then tells me that he can put the kids on a completely different floor, and can't understand why that's not okay. We are completely exhausted and didn't have any other options so we had to take the king room with only a pull out sofa for the kids. We get to the room again and there is no bedding for the sofa bed. So now we have to wait on him to bring us bedding for the kids. It's now like 2:30 in the morning we have to be up by 6 to make the show. Flash forward to 6 in the morning there is someone new at the desk. I explained to her what had happened, and she promised me we would have the correct room by the time we got back in the evening. Then she proceeded to tell me that we had to get our things out of the room we were given, because it had to be cleaned to give someone else. I tried to explain to her that we didn't have time that we were running on no sleep and needed to be leaving asap for the show. She said we had to move our things or room keeping would. So now we have to go back get our things and be even later getting to the show. I called several hours later and speak to a manager that acts as if he doesn't understand the issue. He tells me that the reason they gave our room away is they had another guest that had a issue (maintenance) with their room so they had to move them to ours. He after I got very upset gave us a refund for the first night like it was some big deal. We were in the room maybe 4 hours. Then we were assigned the correct room that we had booked. When we got in that evening late and went to the room the smell was absolutely horrible, but in fear we said nothing and got out of there as early Sunday morning as possible. The breakfast was the worst I ever saw at a Hilton. The juice only had water with a hint of orange juice, the coffee tasted as if it was days old. The only thing that was eatable was the waffles. Therefore we had to spend extra money on breakfast for 3 days. After how bad the stay had been we couldn't even make the drive all the way home due to being exhausted from no rest so we got another room in New Orleans again spending more money and all of our points that we had and spending more money not budgeted on. I do have to say that the room in New Orleans was absolutely perfect. The people there went out of there way to take care of us, and the food...

The rooms were great - very inline with Home2 standards. Clean, spacious, and comfortable.
Digital keys weren’t available / room wasn’t prepared until almost 5pm. There was no floor plan available, so we unfortunately booked a room with a connected room (for some, like us, this sucks - it’s noisier and at Home2 you lose several linear feet of counter space).
While we were outside taking advantage of the warm weather and tidying up the car we discovered they lock certain doors at unposted times. This is quite irritating when you’re in a high crime area and specifically parked very close to your room, and when all the spots near the other entrances are filled up. The “I’m an adult” (his words, not mine) receptionist who started smoking right outside the locked door did return with a sign after I pointed out how ridiculous it was.
The employee was rather rude, blamed guests for having to lock the door, and then said it was the owners decision. The new sign the employee posted (which wasn’t there till we called them out) clearly tries to blame the guests it’s supposedly protecting, and is contradictory to the originally posted sign.
The attached video shows the locked door (room key does NOT work) - including the diamond member parking in front of it, the broken sprinkler system, overflowing garbage, and new contradictory sign (the printout taped to the door).
At around 3am there was a full power outage. We woke up and ventured outside, nervous since there had been other reviews noting vandalized and burgled cars, and the parking lot was now pitch black - I’m a flashlight and safety nut, so we were prepared. Thankfully, no broken windows, and power came on a half hour later. Unlike the hotel employee from earlier, the night time guy was incredibly nice, sociable, and accommodating.
Breakfast was gross, but was inline with most Hiltons around this level (Home2, Tru, Hampton, Homewood, etc) lately.
As is the case at dozens of other Hiltons we have stayed at in the past two months, this one also has issues with TV channels - for instance, FXX isn’t FXX, it’s...
Read moreI’ll start with the only positive thing I can say is that my room is clean and well maintained.
Apart from that however everything else is just awful, when these Hilton hotels are priced lower than normal, they attract a lot of unpleasant loud and ghetto people. I have one of those rooms that has a door that can connect to the people next to me and it sounds like they have 4 generations of people (an entire family) in one room, a baby that never stops crying, and adults that for some reason can’t carry a conversation in a small room in a discrete volume. They have to constantly yell across the room all freakin day and night.
The people above me can’t manage to make their way around the room with out stopping the living hell out of their feet back and forth repeatedly. People walking around outside half dressed, belly’s hanging out in their bonnets, do people have any decency???
I haven’t encountered all of the staff, the cleaning ladies are awesome. The guy that works the counter at night does a half ass “I’m just here to get a check job”.
I went to the fitness room my first night here and holy crap 🤦🏻♂️ the station to fill your water bottle doesn’t work, and the above mentioned guy didn’t seem to care to do anything about it or make a note just “ehh yea it don’t work”. They must’ve hired kindergartners to install the equipment because nothing is level, the elliptical wants to thrash side to side but it can’t be used because the lights flash on and the machine turns off. I inspected it and the wiring was damaged.
I’ll use then Peloton I said, well the peloton they have here has the wrong pedals on it. You need the special cleats to be able to use the bike which is more for in home use, not in a hotel where people don’t carry those cleats. Very dangerous!! The seat looks like they used pliers to tighten the nut and bolt because it was completely stripped and loose, can’t sit on it, can’t pedal it, can’t use it.
This is the worst Hilton hotel I’ve...
