We recently stayed at Kompose Boutique Resort and had a really wonderful experience. The hotel is new, modern, and stylish, with a very warm and accommodating staff. We were especially grateful to be allowed a late check-out, which let us enjoy the pool before our later flight. It was such a thoughtful touch!
The pool area is lovely: large enough to relax in, with plenty of fresh towels (though a bit small for the lounge chairs). Families will love the fun water slide, and there are also hot tubs for sore muscles after a theme park day, plus even a sauna I didn’t get a chance to try.
On-site dining at K Bistro was great, delicious food and drinks in a nice setting. Prices felt a little high, and I believe gratuity may have been included, which might explain it, but the quality was overall good.
We were also pleasantly surprised to be gifted complimentary breakfast vouchers (normally $5 per person), which was a generous touch. Unfortunately, our stay was short, and the one morning we finally had time to use them, breakfast had already ended at 10 AM. I would suggest extending breakfast hours a bit later, and perhaps even opening K Bistro earlier than 1 PM, since guests often return hungry from the parks or want a proper lunch before heading out.
Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. It may have been wheelchair-accessible, which made it extra roomy and accessible (something I really appreciate seeing in hotels). The bed was very comfortable, the shower pressure was fantastic, and everything felt fresh and new. A small dining table and chairs would’ve been a nice addition for the space.
The lobby also had a great vibe, super artsy with wonderful-smelling diffusers (though they were turned up so high that the scent was a bit overpowering and even smelled slightly burnt at times). A small adjustment there would make the welcome area even more inviting.
A few more tiny recommendations to take the experience from great to perfect: • Ensure toilet seats fit securely (ours shifted a bit). • Expand toiletries beyond the all-in-one wash and small soap (separate shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, and maybe makeup wipes would be helpful). • Add an iron to the room. • Consider poolside food service. • Improve soundproofing between rooms. • Provide an extra trash can in the sleeping area (not just the bathroom). • Label lobby snacks clearly with prices. • Shuttle service to nearby theme parks would be a huge plus.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return. With just a few small tweaks, this resort could go from excellent to...
Read moreFor the price ($100 for a suite), I should have realized it wasn’t a boutique hotel. It wasn’t my cup of tea, but it has a lot of bang for the buck and is perfect for a family on a budget. ||Pluses: Spacious. I loved the giant TVs. 1 in the bedroom alcove, 1 in the living room. The kitchen has a big fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and a combo microwave/air fryer/burner. Close to many theme parks. Surprisingly quiet. Comfortable bed. The breakfast was good. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, oatmeal, waffle maker, cereals, yogurt, granola, apples, oranges, toast, etc. Great staff. Quick check-in and out. Keep breakfast area clean and restocked. They arrived in less than 10 minutes to fix an input issue with a TV at 9:00 PM.||Minuses: They only clean between guests or after 3 days though they do refresh towels and trash. The shower is a death trap. Super slippery flooring with no handrails. Don’t leave your kids or really anyone unattended to shower. Or bring an nonslip mat from home. Also, ask for a room at the front of the hotel - the halls are really long and there are only elevators at the front end. We never found stairs at the back either but they may be there. Otherwise it would be a real death trap in an emergency. The elevators and stairs are outside the air conditioned areas. Thankfully they came quickly. Also, bedding wasn’t hypo allergenic. I had a slight reaction to the detergent that a Benadryl took care of. Worst of all, they say they are pet friendly but then they spring a terms and conditions saying you can’t leave your dog unattended and if you do they will call animal control. Glad I didn’t bring my dog. How are you supposed to enjoy the area attractions and theme parks or even go out to dinner or to the pool if you can’t leave your dog in the hotel you’re spending an extra hundred to bring them to? I've only ever run across this one other time and it should be...
Read moreWe left a tad bit too early from our home state for our Disney vacation, blame it on excitement, so we arrived to Florida before our Airbnb was ready. We booked this location for several reasons and we were pleasantly surprised at how great this hotel was from the ease of check-in to the amenities, to the room, and breakfast. In all honesty, we were ready to write a 5 star review... We didn't bring in anything but an overnight duffel bag because we were just staying one night. Checkout on June 15th was easy. We arrived to our Airbnb (same day about 40 minutes from the hotel after spending a portion of our day at Disney Springs) and when I went to wash our swimsuits, I realized mine and my daughter's swimsuits were not in the hotel dirty clothes bag or duffle. We had hung them up to dry on the hooks on the bathroom door and with the bathroom door open they were out of sight and obviously out of mind. We promptly called the hotel (6:05pm and another call at 6:09pm to give more information) and they said nothing had been turned into lost and found but to check back in the morning after housekeeping came in. I called as instructed the next day June 16th at 8:17am and explained the situation again and the instructions we were given. The woman said there was nothing in lost and found, she would speak with housekeeping, and call me either way. It's June 20th and no phone call. It's our fault for accidentally leaving the two swimsuits, but stealing from your patrons is not any way to conduct business if you want people to return. If the hotel is willing to fix the issue I will edit reviews. We will be coming back to Florida soon and had considered staying here again instead of an Airbnb, but not now; stealing and lying are two things that will ensure you'll not get our business. They are downfall of credibility and...
