If you're looking for a fun, family-friendly activity in Orlando, FL, then look no further than Bonanza Golf and Gifts. As a local miniature golf enthusiast, I've been to my fair share of mini-golf courses in the area, and Bonanza Golf easily ranks among the top.
Course Design (5/5): Bonanza Golf and Gifts boasts two 18-hole courses: The Gold Nugget and The Prospector. Each course is meticulously designed, with neat landscaping, a 70 foot mountain with a waterfall, and intricately crafted obstacles that provide for challenging gameplay. I've played both courses and I would say that The Gold Nugget is more beginner-friendly, while the Prospector is perfect for those seeking a challenge. The blend of difficulty levels makes it a great for all ages and skill levels.
Customer Service (5/5): The staff at Bonanza Golf and Gifts are friendly and genuinely passionate about providing a memorable experience. They are always on hand to offer assistance or answer questions about the course and they always update me on the changes made to the course every time I visit. Additionally, the facility is impeccably clean and well-maintained.
Gift Shop (5/5): The gift shop at Bonanza offers a wide variety of souvenirs and gifts, from golf accessories to Florida-themed items. Although the main attraction is the mini-golf experience itself, I was surprised at how well the items in the gift shop were priced compared to the other I've been too around town.
Value (6/5): The pricing at Bonanza Golf and Gifts is competitive, particularly considering the quality of the two courses and overall experience. They also offer a discount for playing both courses, which is a great deal for those who want to spend a few hours enjoying the adventure. For what you end up paying, you get a lot of worth! I typically spend less than $15 to play both course totaling to 36-holes which takes about half the day to complete. If you don't want to do both courses on the same day, the will allow you to come back later to complete the second one.
Overall, I cannot recommend Bonanza Golf and Gifts enough. Whether you're a local or a visitor to Orlando, this mini-golf paradise is a must-visit destination. With it's beautiful courses, engaging atmosphere, and friendly staff, it's a guaranteed crowd-pleaser...

If you're on the South West side of Orlando, and ever head into Disney, you have likely seen the 'red' mountain amongst all of the gift shops along 192.
Well, I can say it's worth a visit to Bonanza golf if you're looking for a nice relaxing outing with the family. We had eight in our group, Mom and Dad, 2 boys 10 and 12, and both sets of grandparents.
There is extra parking, just go through the front parking lot, under the gap, and lots of parking at the back.
Suggestions: buy a two round visit(can use second round another day, or do two rounds the same day, worth it, and much better deal this way when you find out the kids want to go around 'again, again!)
What to bring: Bring, or apply sunscreen, notuch coverage when on top of the mountain. Water - can get expensive for drinks if you have to buy one for everybody Cane - of anyone may need assistance walking (not wheelchair accessible) Camera - fully charged Hats - nice fitting hats as it can get windy up there, surprisingly windy in fact Sunglasses - it is Florida, and sunny weather abounds!
Everyone gets to choose a different coloured ball, and appropriate sized putter. We decided to split the group into two sets of four. It made it easier, and more manageable to split up. If you have a group of six or fewer, you could go together, bit it will be a bit slower, and more chaotic (if everyone leaves their ball on playđ).
Overall, the course is not too difficult, some easy holes that boost your confidence by writing a 1 on the cardđ, and some that will baffle you why the ball decided to take a sharp turn right at the hole. Be careful not to hit it too hard, or you may be heading all the way back down the mountain to get a new ball.
Note: use a bathroom before visiting, the one on site is, to put it nicely, not up to standard
Overall, we were very happy, and have now visited here each time we are lucky enough to visit Orlando. Lots of the typical gift shop items in the main store, before you go onto the course, and for after the round.
There is a pizza place attached, and ice cream near the start of the course, but we habe not tried these. We prefer Twistee Treat (Westside on 192).
Hope enjoy a great time here, as we have on a number of occasions...
Read moreWe recently visited Bonanza Golf and had a very enjoyable time. There was no wait to play in the evening, and the staff were polite and friendly, making for a welcoming experience. The theming throughout the course is charming and adds to the overall ambiance, but it's clear that some elements could use a little TLC. We noticed chipping rockwork, flickering lighting fixtures, and scenic details that have started to deteriorate due to the harsh Florida weather. While this is understandable given the climate, a fresh coat of paint, some added themed obstacles, and some thematic light fixtures could really elevate the experience.
The courses themselves are well-designed, offering a range of difficulties from simple to more challenging, though nothing too tough for a young family. However, if you have limited mobility, you might find the frequent stairs between holes a bit challenging. That said, the ups and downs between each hole add an element of fun and variety to the course.
Overall, Bonanza Golf is a solid choice for a fun mini-golf outing, but it could benefit from a little more attention to maintenance and theming...
