We took our friends here for their anniversary! We're from another state and we're visiting, I think we made the best choice. I wish I could remember our waiter's name, he was a little older, took care of the bar it seemed, he wished our friends a happy anniversary and said he had been married for 31 years, so I hope you know who I'm talking about. He was such a pleasant gentleman, provided the best service we've had. We ordered the prime rib and the twin filets wrapped in bacon and the food was delicious! A house salad came with our meal and I loved that it was fresh greens (not iceberg) with tomatoes, onions (which I asked for no onions)and black olives, with warm delicious rolls served with honey butter and we asked for some plain butter as I don't like the sweet butter, but everyone else enjoyed it. Our order was placed so we had a little time between our salad and main course (there's nothing worse than your dinner coming as your eating your salad) so perfectly timed. There was a nice selection of an additional side that came with dinner, I chose a sweet potato with brown sugar (omg.. so good) others opted for a baked potato with butter and sour cream. I have to say that there was NOT ANYTHING that was not right, it was a perfect night and not far from where we were staying, so easy to access. The restaurant offered an early bird special until 5pm, which we were there early enough, the choices were great for both the early bird specials and full menu, we chose to order off the main menu. The dessert list looked amazing, but we were full, and had desserts we were trying to finish up at the condo, so tempted to order the carrot cake and I know our friends would have enjoyed the chocolate bomb, but we just couldn't eat or take more back to the condo (we were leaving to fly home the next day) We have had great service at many restaurants, but I have to say this was the best ever, everything was perfect. It made for a great time! There's a gift shop attached, which we enjoyed the variety of gifts they had, it was nice to walk and browse after such a big meal, we bought something for our daughter, which she was very pleased with. I just can't stress how wonderful everything was (and we have some of the best restaurants in RI ). Thank you so much for making our visit so...
Read moreWorst steakhouse I have ever been to. Go to Ruth Chris same prices.
First impression was trash all over floor. A large man loudly belching at table next to us. Bathrooms are all the way through the gift and SMOKE shop. Kids under 18 are not permitted to enter without adult. Floor of bathroom was soaking wet yet it was not raining.
Food. Awful. Caesar salad was so bland it was tasteless. No fresh parm on salad no parm at all actually.
Bread was fine. Butter in honey is gross.
Medium rare steak came out full on raw. Had one bite. Tasted like blood and made me vomit. This of course ruined the meal.
A steakhouse should want to confirm the steaks are properly cooked typically a server would ask you to cut them or check back within a minute or so to make sure they are cooked properly. This did not happen. Server took 10 minutes to come back and ask how meals were. He was actually told I may want it medium and said it’s best to order under bc they can take it up. So medium rare was raw and knowing he may need to have it thrown back on he should have checked quickly or had me cut it straight away.
No manager came over to apologize for a raw steak. It was taken off bill.
There seems to be no pride there. Staff looks sloppy. Restaurant looks sloppy. Patrons at tables around you belch. Food is basicily dropped on plate. No attempt to make things palatable. My favorite thing was they had triangle shaped salad plates.

Read moreWe barely got in the door and I rate them one star. I phoned prior to heading over to the restaurant to see if there was a wait. I explained that we had young, tired children so we wanted to find a place without a wait. They said there was no wait then and to come on over and they would get us in as quickly as possible. We arrived in under ten minutes and they said once our full party was there, they would give us a pager. I indicated that the rest of our group was just behind us but they would not give us a pager, which would save our place in line. I mentioned again that we had tired children and didn’t want to wait if there was a wait. He said they would seat us as quickly as possible. Within a few minutes the rest of the family arrived. We were given a pager then and told it would be a 25 minute wait! Only one family had come to the restaurant in between the time that we arrived and the rest of our group arrived so staff knew when we arrived or even when we called that there would be a wait. Not impressed…they could have been honest about the wait time as soon as we walked in, or perhaps even on the phone. Nor was I impressed with the condescending demeanour of the staff and what seemed to be a supervisor. We would have gone elsewhere if they had been honest about the wait time. They seemed to just want to get us there. Not a classy place for sure. We walked out and got into Red Lobster within minutes. Much classier...
