rarely write reviews, but after the experience I had at IHOP recently, I feel genuinely compelled to share and it's all thanks to one person: Jameka. From the moment we walked in, she turned what could have been an ordinary breakfast into a truly memorable one. Her level of service was absolutely outstanding, and without question, she deserves recognition and in my opinion, a raise.
To start, Jameka greeted us with an incredibly warm smile and energy that immediately set the tone for the meal. She was kind, professional, and made us feel welcome and appreciated not just as customers, but as guests. It didn’t feel forced or scripted; it was genuine, and that made all the difference.
Throughout our entire visit, Jameka was attentive without being overbearing. She checked in at just the right times, refilled drinks before we even had to ask, and made sure every part of our order was exactly how we wanted it. Even with a busy dining room, she never made us feel rushed or overlooked. That kind of balance giving great attention while managing multiple tables — is no small feat.
What truly stood out, though, was how effortlessly she handled a small issue with one of the orders. One of our plates came out with the eggs cooked incorrectly, and she handled it with total professionalism. She apologized sincerely, had it corrected within minutes, and even followed up afterward to make sure everything was perfect. She turned a mistake into a moment of trust, and that says so much about her character and skill.
Jameka also went above and beyond to connect with us personally. She remembered small details we mentioned earlier in the meal and followed up on them — like asking how my friend liked their pancake combo or recommending a syrup flavor based on what we ordered. These little gestures made it clear that she truly cared, and that kind of personal touch isn’t something you can teach — it comes from someone who loves what they do and takes pride in doing it well.
The food was great (shoutout to the kitchen team, too!), but honestly, it was Jameka’s service that made the visit exceptional. She elevated the entire experience and left such a strong impression that I’ve already told friends and family about it — and some of them are planning to visit this location just because of her.
It’s rare to encounter someone who brings this level of excellence, consistency, and genuine care to their role. IHOP is lucky to have Jameka on the team, and I sincerely hope management recognizes the kind of asset she is. People like her are the reason customers keep coming back. She’s not just doing her job — she’s raising the standard.
In short: give Jameka a raise. She’s earned it ten times over.
With gratitude, A Very Happy...
Read moreUnfortunately I was robbed at that IHOP in May by an employee. First of all the pancakes were very good and food came out very quickly, but my experience was horrible. It was already weird when I walked in. Went there in my work uniform and my waitress made the comment to me, that where I work, I would make good amount of money. It was weird but I didn’t think anything of it. So my friend and I ordered. I put my phone next to my plate on the table. Later on we walked out of the restaurant and I felt that my phone wasn’t on me anymore. Walked back inside and they said the could not find our waitress but wrote my friends number down, cause they wanted to look at the video tapes to see if an employee or a guest potentially took it. They never called us. Called them 5 times that day. Always said they had no access to the security tapes. Next morning I was able to locate my phone through my laptop and saw that it was recently spotted at that IHOP. I called them and asked to give me my phone back. They said they do not have it and do not believe me. I got pretty mad, cause I had prove that it was there. So I went back to the IHOP with my laptop in hand and showed them the location as well as the location where the Phone has been through the night. A neighbourhood not far away. Luckily a super nice employee helped me and said he would compare the adress to those of the other employees. It unfortunately machted one and a Manager had to get involved. End of the story, they found my phone in one of the employees locker and gave it back to me. But did they do anything to compensate my bad experience. No. We only got a drink while waiting on the case to be solved. I would have expected a little more from IHOP. I was a happy customer before but I‘ll...
Read moreWe have been visiting kissamee all week and my daughter loves ihop so I promised would go most days . The food was very bad compared to other ihops. My daughters was cold but edible most days as she doesn’t mind cold food. But yesterday my mums waffle was raw . I have pictures to prove so I asked the waitress to please put it back on to cook . Within less than 30 seconds she arrived out with a plate of 4 triangles ( normally the waffle comes whole in ihop ) the triangles was off different waffles and looked like had been table of someone’s plate as was all squashed and misshaped and had marks in it like someone had been eating at the sides . They were not off the same waffle as some was raw and some was cooked . But the pancake mixture was squeezing out of the waffle it was so raw . The eggs was chewy also and the bacon was tough. The other day I got a appetiser combo and it was cooked with dirty deep fryer oil and inedible . We own restaurants so I know what I am talking about. Yesterday I finally said it to the main manager he just tried saying it was butter squeezing out which it was not as did not use butter . After a week of being there to be given raw food . At this stage after sending it back once we did not have time for a new breakfast to be cooked and we were scared with the staffs attitude that something would be done to our food from comments we heard. So we let it go. And paid and left even for raw inedible food. I would never as a business owner let my customers leave feeling that if someone was wrong with the food that I would do something bad to it. Not acceptable . My mother did not feel well all day as the bit she ate felt sick knowing ate a raw product until saw the...
