Had an ''OK' but not great'' four night stay at this hotel. Here's a breakdown:
Pros: Ideal location, close to Disney world and a few other attractions.
The actual street that it is close too has many ''souvenir'' shops and restaurants (gas station right by the Hotel!)
Room was clean at check-in.
Breakfast included in the price.(typical breakfast items like scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausages, cereal...)
Parking is plentiful!
Cons:
a few roaches in my room scaling the walls!
ONLY ONE ELEVATOR that's attached to the main lobby!
Noisy and inconsiderate ''guests''.
And now for the ''deal breaker'':
We were running late for our initial check-in so I called the Hotel to notify them of this. I called on FOUR separate instances, while Im driving, and the phone just rang off the hook! (this was on a Saturday at about 345pm). On the fifth try, I female by the name of ''Taeshana'' FINALLY answered! But wait, there's more on this person.....
When we arrived, this ''Taeshana'' checked us in. We were the ONLY one's at the counter; no other guests behind us waiting to be checked in. I asked a few questions and after each one I could hear in her tone that she was getting impatient, she also stopped answering my questions ignoring me completely! Her face had an angered look and she made zero eye contact. I noticed and reacted by telling her ''Never been here before so show some courtesy and patience when a guest is asking questions!''. She made no apologies for her rudeness.
There's more: One of the last questions I asked is ''what number do i dial for the front desk?'' She looked up slowly, rolling her eyes and said ''zero''. I was pissed but knowing that it was going to be tough finding a reasonably priced hotel in the area was going to be difficult on short notice, I gathered our stuff and went to our room.
As the days progressed, I discovered why she DOESNT ANSWER THE FRONT DESK PHONE: She goes on lengthy and numerous smoke breaks outside of the hotel!
It is for her nastiness and rudeness that I doubt I'll be staying at this...
Read moreThis was one of the worst experiences for my team to stay at a hotel. First of all the guy that works evening shift on Wednesday 08/07/24 was super rude to my employee as well as me. I was trying to call the hotel and he kept picking up the phone and hanging it up refusing to answer the phone. Who does that? No one needs to be at the front desk that behaves like this. Then when my employee got there he was rude to him as well. Then when I called to speak to the General Manager in the morning they refused to let me speak with them and asked me why I wanted to speak to the GM. That was Ruta that refused to let me speak with the manager. We won't be coming back to this hotel EVER AGAIN. I hope people read this and keep moving to another hotel because the stay was not worth all the hassle.
And just in case you want to find the reservation it was under James Warren Room 229
Now you want to lie on our team and try and cover up your staff and their rudeness by trying to blame my team? Now I see why your team behaves the way that they do because you cover for them by placing blame on your customers?? Are you seriously kidding me. We have pictures and proof of the whole episode and it was All RECORDED BY VIDEO SO YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING! I was actually on the phone during the check in so you are busted in your accusations. I am taking this further and since you want to lie about the incident I am reaching out to corporate and will turn the video in to corporate so that they can see that your behavior and comments are unacceptable. Don't worry about my team coming back to this hotel because your behavior as a manager is unacceptable. Instead of just apologizing you want to lie on my staff. You should be ashamed of yourself. I have footage and further more what does that have to do with someone at the front desk picking up the phone and hanging up over 10 times in my face? My staff was not even there when this happened. How do you justify...
Read moreI had to stay one night in Orlando for work so I managed to reserve a room for one night through booking.com. Upon arrival the receptionist was a man in a suit with gray hair, I estimate to be around 40 years old, who did not have a name tag and refused to give me his name or employee identification number in addition to refusing to contact his manager despite me asking him please since I was in a situation where I have nowhere else to stay.
This person only gave me the option to cancel my reservation due to being 20 years old since according to Florida policy it is required to be over 21 years old, which seems perfect to me if it weren't for the fact that booking.com asked me for my date of birth when making the reservation. But let's leave that aside.
This person tells me that he will cancel my reservation even though I please ask him to have a heart and that I did not have any place to stay, he told me that I needed to be over 21 years old. So he proceeded to cancel my stay, I left the lobby and came back again in a matter of 2 minutes to tell ask him to please not cancel and that a legal guardian over 21 would stay with me so I could sleep at the hotel, but this person looked me in the eyes with a smile and told me that they were already sold out for the night, after not even 2 minutes had passed since he cancelled even though I was begging him to help me.
He didn't want to give me his name, he didn't want to put me in contact with his manager, and he threatened to call the police for simply asking for an explanation. Human beings are evil to exorbitant levels. I'm not a bad person and honestly this guy just didn't want to help me. He should have a nametag or at least give me his name and yet he didn't, but I hope that measures are taken against these people who, far from giving you a service, literally leave you sleeping in your car. Completely...
