Visited your establishment to purchase a last minute gift. Looking for quality jeans. Looked in different areas of the store till someone pointed out where to find Levis. Jeans where located next to a check out, where an associate was in a lengthy casual conversation with another customer in the store. Left the area to put back some items and returned to look once more at your Levis display. There was a different associate who wouldn't leave the checkout area and move ten feet to assist me. She could only give her advice, which in my opinion wasn't all that knowledgeable. No discounts applied. The price on the tag was 54 dollars and change but rang up as 59 dollars and change. No use arguing, associate apparently are trained to ignore customers. Overall experience was worse than bad. Hope the person who is receiving gift, gets a total refund and makes there purchase somewhere else. Wouldn't even give this visit one star, but have to, in order to move...
Read moreThis is the reason businesses go out or close! Me and my daughter went into this Belk store to get her some sheets. I decided to buy some new pans. We went to the front to check out. 3 ladies were standing there talking. We stood there and no one even said a word. After standing there, we walked to another register where 4 ladies were talking. We stood there waiting. Finally one of the ladies said she would check us out. She started walking to us and a customer walked up and she walked over to her and started talking to her! I feel like these Belk employees are there just to talk and not work. After coming home and telling my other daughter what happened, she said the same thing happened and they just walked out. No sales from us here at all. We will drive to the Guntsville Belk where they know how to treat people. I’ve noticed that the Mall doesn’t have any stores left so it’s a waste of time to even go to that Mall! We did put the sheets and pans back...
Read moreI have shopped the Belk store in Gadsden Mall since it opened and have always enjoyed shopping there. However today was different. I wanted to purchase 3 blouses that were on my clearance. Two were 75%off and 1 was 70% off. I had $5 in Belk Rewards. I had to walk over half the store trying to find an open check out. The girl working the cash register told me my total was $74. I told her no the items were on clearance. She then tried to determine the discounts on a phone. She then said $58. I told her this was still not right. She just looked at me with a blank stare. At that point , I just told her to forget it. I walked off without making a purchase. The total with the Belk Rewards was to be $33.50. Instead of just looking at me like a deer caught in the headlights, she should have offered to get a manager who...
