We went there on a recommendation. Our daughter got married that day. It was a small party of 11. We ordered $$$ "2" $$$ 52.00 dollar Combo orders. Plus, separate orders and several cocktail orders. We were served "1" containers of the order. We kept waiting for the second container to be served. When it NEVER appeared, I finally asked the server why we had NOT received it yet. She informed me that BOTH orders were in one. Not once were we told it would be served this way. The menu is clear what it contains within that order, Not order's! As in 2 combined as 1...... They should have told us that is HOW it is served. We would have ordered differently. They said all combined, we had 1 lb scallops. (They were raw. They brought us more, and they were still raw) 1 lb of shrimp (counted, we did not have 1 lb, there is supposed be 24 to a lb.) we were suppose to have 1 lb of sausage (we "might" have had that) we ordered 6 extra corn on cob as it only comes with 1, per order, And, we ordered 6 extra potatoes as it only comes with 2 per order. Which we were charged for those extra. That was not an issue. Had we had the SECOND tray of food. Yes, in that 52.00 dollar 1 container order. And, only 1, yes, 1- 4 claw cluster of snow crab. So we received 2 clusters because it was 2 COMBINED CONTAINERS AT 52. DOLLARS EACH IN 1 CONTAINER. It should Never have been served in that manner. It does Not say that on the combo menu anywhere on it. If they want to do that, then they absolutely should state it on their menus. So as people can make different choices to THEIR own orders. We feel like we were shorted on our meal in a BIG way. Our total bill was $368, this amt doesn't include part of the party who ordered chicken meals separately. BTW, they do, however, let you know that on the menu, there is an automatic chg of 18% in a party of 6 and up. So that is included in our total, but she didn't get a penny more. I will give credit where it's do. The food itself was very good. The waitress was friendly, and in all honesty, we did have her quite busy. We didn't tip her more because of the restaurant. (The way they serve the food isn't her fault? we didn't tip her more in hopes of sending a message TO, THE...
Read moreIf you’re looking for great tasting, quality seafood…this place is NOT IT! The “crab cakes” looked like vegetarian burgers and didn’t have any amount of crab in them to even be classified as crab cakes, as I didn’t experience ANY hint of crab other than the faint smell. Not only that, they were devoid of any seasoning. I ordered the fried catfish and when I saw them I wondered if it was actually fish. They were very tender and fried well but unfortunately they also lacked any seasoning whatsoever. The only thing I tasted was cornmeal. Very disappointing. The fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil & came from a greasy fast food joint. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this place for seafood of any kind. I saw lots of reviews about this place having great food & being the best seafood they have ever had; Unless this was their first ever seafood experience or they love their food “plain Jane” or were born without taste buds or they have just gotten out of the hospital & haven’t had solid food for weeks….then it is a far stretch (as in, to Pluto and back about 500,000 times) to even consider this place “seafood”. This place was opened with a very poor attempt at imitating other seafood joints such as Juicy Crab, Mr. & Mrs. Crab & Gainesville Seafood & Chicken….and completely missed the mark as far as the food is concerned. The ranch tasted like watered down mayonnaise with some parsley & salt sprinkled in, with the hopes of passing it off as ranch. The special sauce was a conglomerate of so many different things but ended up resembling thousand island dressing with a bit too much vinegar or lemon juice. Bottom line-Look elsewhere for seafood. I was VERY tempted to ask for my money back. If I could give it half a star, I would. The only reason I wouldn't give zero starts is because I was hungry & spent the money so might as well eat what I...
Read moreI felt like seafood and I had noticed a sign for a seafood restaurant on a previous trip. I followed my nose until I came upon Seafood Dock which was in a mall across from my hotel. There were some girls in the parking lot who were also headed for the restaurant so I asked them how it was. They were locals, and they said the food was very good. I was expecting a buffet style seafood restaurant. I don't think they had a buffet. I ordered something to take out from their takeout menu. It was their shrimp fried rice which I absolutely love. It was prepared very nicely. Delicious. The people working there were very nice. I also noticed that they had a bar as well as sit down tables. There was something different about this seafood restaurant. It had a very nice atmosphere. It made you want to come in and sit at the bar and eat seafood. I also peeked through the netting beside the cash register area and I could see the seats and people in them. This also had a very nice atmosphere. I would love to come back with friends and eat in one of the booths the next time. They have a great selection of seafood. If I had had more time, I might have stayed and eaten at the bar. I do recommend this restaurant for everything, the food, the atmosphere, and the...
