Quality Inn Galesburg near US Highway 34 and I-74 — Hotel in Galesburg

This hotel is high priced for the quality of the hotel. It smells like mildew. When my family and I were getting settled I took my shoes off and realized the floor was wet. I went and mentioned it to the General Manager and he seemed very offended and said no no it's not wet and was very rude. He then left the room and came back knocking very hard on the door a few minutes later. He demanded me to check the room out next to us so I did and the floor and mildew smell was there as well. It was also wet and smelled like mildew in the hallway. Very unprofessional all around. We ended up leaving early due to this because mildew and mold can make you very sick. When I had arrived to the hotel the front desk lady said my total would be $140 but when I checked out it said $160. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We had a terrible storm and this was the only available hotel at the time. I also did feel there was something strange going on at the front desk because she asked to see my credit card and did something behind the desk that I could not see and then handed it back to me to put it in the chip reader to pay. Just very strange. When I checked out the general manager gave my child a fruit bar and then took the key cards and acted like he did not want to give me a receipt. When I asked for one he seemed mad and it took him a few minutes and he did not even spell the information right on it, did not put a check out time and also put a different total on it. I will be disputing the charge on my card due to the rude general manager not doing his job correctly and he also acted like he did not understand what...

Booked a 3 night stay thru the choice hotels app. Arrived late on Friday night. Checked in with front desk, and requested full housekeeping service daily for the duration of our stay - front desk made a note of it and said not a problem. Headed up to the room (214) to find that room wasn't very clean. Human hairs around the toilet, vanity, etc. Even found a half eaten biscuit under edge of bed... disgusting. Saturday morning we left for the day... arrived back Saturday night to find nothing had been done to our room...no cleaning services whatsoever. Went to front desk and complained. They apologized and said it till be taken care of Sunday. Grabbed some refills on coffee packs and went back to room for sleep. Left for the day Sunday...returned Sunday evening.....GUESS WHAT...NO CLEANING/HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES WERE PERFORMED AGAIN!. Went down to front desk and complained again. She blamed housekeeping for being lazy and terrible workers. Had her give us some clean towels so we could shower. She said manager would be in in the morning when we checked out. Complained to manager Monday morning at check out. She said the housekeeping staff were lazy and disrespectful to her... And doesn't do their job. She said the owner of hotel won't fire them. She gave me the owners number to call and complain...also to see about a refund. I spoke with the owner.(Indian accent)...she was not polite and wanted to argue with me about everything. She said she would check into things and call me back. That was 5 days ago.... haven't heard anything back from her. FOLKS ...Find a different motel to...

Update *Serious Mold issues as the couple time lve stayed at Quality Inn both times were for conferences. And both times their ice machine was leaking horribly as quality Inn just kept throwing towels on the floor my second stay at Quality Inn l was really sick as they put me in the room directly across from the leaking ice machine. The couple that lived there... well the husband that did maintenance work removed the ice machine and he had to remove the tiles from the floor and tear down the walls as the mold was spreading terribly and fast. SEE PHOTOS !! the worst hospitality of desk service lve ever experienced. I promise its better, safer & wiser to spend the extra money anywhere else than here ! I caught the wife of the couple that worked at the desk in my room going through my belongings and her husband did the maintenance, he moved the ice machine & personally showed me the mold that was making me sick. A nightmare at best staying at QUALITY INN. Funny how Quality INN just replied to my review stating l never stayed there. Quality Inn just showed their true character once again as l still have both receipts of both of my stays at your deceitful & mold infested hotel....
