Project Dog Park is one of the larger dog parks I have visited with my pup. Like most dog parks, there are different areas for large and small dogs. Pros: Unlike most dog parks, this one has two different fenced in areas for large dogs. At times one of them maybe closed to allow the grass to re-grow. According to a sign, the small dog area also welcomes puppies and senior dogs. This is helpful for older dogs who may not be as active. There are plenty of bone shaped benches for the hoomans to sit on while supervising their dogs in all three areas. Cons: The dog water fountain is outside the fenced in area. This forces dog owners to leash up their dog and "leave" in order to let their dog get water. If your dog is not registered in Galesburg, you must purchase a $3 pass from off the premises at the City Clerk's Office which is located across town.

Either myself or husband takes my dog here every evening. Its a great place to get your dog off leash and to sit and relax while your dog gets exercise. I love our dog park. I do wish they would unlock the gate on the 3rd section of the fenced in area. It would be nice to be able to use that area.

This was a huge hit with my dog! This was a clean, very large open space with multiple fenced areas for large dogs and another for puppies or smaller and older dogs. It was well stocked with bags for clean up and had nice benches for people to rest on. Would definitely recommend!
