Goodwill — Local services in Galesburg

Been there many times and always enjoy browsing through the niknaks section and the electronics section. Sometimes the prices are high but other times it's a steal! Found a full leather jacket, name brand, for $20 (easily $200) and looked brand new! But like everything in life...wrong size!! (Be okay if I had to lose weight but grow taller?lol) Just God's way saying someone else needed it more! ;) The staff is okay, always moving and tending to the customers. I think it's funny that while I'm perusing the isles and isles of clothes I sometimes get a worker quietly following me readjusting the racks I've moved the hangers on to look perfect!lol More power to them! I purchased a children’s card game that appeared to have the original shrink wrap on it so I felt confident that all cards were inside. My grandchild came a week later and when we opened the box we found that half the cards were missing. I live 45 minutes away from Galesburg so I didn’t get back to the store for about 3 weeks. I was told I could not do an exchange because they only allow you 10 days to do so. Granted, there is an exchange policy stated at the bottom of the receipt but it only mentions electronics and apparel and in this case where their employees neglected to make sure the game was complete I feel an exception should have been made. Not a great good will, very cluttered and disorganized even for a goodwill. AND!! the biggest part that makes this location a 3 star in my opinion is that they dont use any type of bags (bagless) at checkout (really) try carting to your car a dozen shirts, a coffee maker, and lord knows what else.
