I love chocolate! The moment you walk in your senses are aroused. The smell is divine. -came when the cafe just opened -The owner was present and pleasant(well traveled and makes authentic chocolate, specifically from Ecuador) 🦋 I got the oat milk 70% hot chocolate with whip cream and OMG it was simply incredible. Definitely recommend for true chocolate lovers (I’m very well traveled as well, just came back from a trip from Peru) . 🦋 I loved it so much, that I got a second cup of the same to go. Saved every moment while walking around the cute shops , the bridge and all. -very spacious cafe -good atmosphere and ambience -very chill vibes (from the cafe looking out the window, it feels like you’re in Brooklyn) -there’s a bathroom for customers -there’s other products here on sale as well, definitely have a look Overall...

Stopped by this charming cafe because it has "chocolate" on it's sign so I figured it was worth a visit.i wasn't disappointed. The location of this business is immediately to your left as you walk into the little courtyard by Friar Tucks and Margherita's. Small cafe with some seating available and displays of chocolate bars and a "Make Your Own Chocolate" gift baskets are on the walls closest to the door. The aroma of chocolate wafting towards you as you walk in was pleasant but not overly obnoxious. The place is very clean, floors, counter, tables, chairs, and there is a plastic divider between you and the person behind the register. Owners are friendly and knowledgeable. I had asked about what kind of chocolate I should use to make chicken mole and the woman gave me three choices to use and a detailed explanation behind...

I went here with my mom and I'm so glad we did. The owner was working and greeted us with a smile. He was happy to strike up a conversation about the business and informed us that he travels to the locations of his cacao farmers including Ecuador and Hawaii! He knew a lot about the cacao industry and the way he spoke it was so obvious that this isn't just a business, it's a passion. My mom got the regular 70% drinking chocolate with a shot of espresso and I got the 70% Mayan drinking chocolate that was medium spicy. It had just the right amount of kick and was like drinking a premium chocolate bar. Definitely the best chocolate beverage I've ever had! Next time I return to mystic I will be retuning to the Mystic River Chocolate Café. Service 10/10,flavor 10/10, atmosphere 10/10. Try it out, you'll be so...

Stopped in for some great coffee... This quaint little caffeine and chocolate emporium is off the beaten path on Water Street. ☕ We were warmly greated by the barista. We ordered 2 cold drinks. One was a Iced mocha latte and the other a sugar free vanilla latte. 🥤 Both were carefully crafted and brewed fresh In front of our eyes. They were both delicious. The best coffee we have had in Mystic to date. 🌊 The atmosphere was warm and inviting. We sat and enjoyed our drinks looking out into the courtyard. 🌴 If you visit the area, be sure to check them out. We were being good and did not sample their homemade chocolates...maybe next time!

We love chocolate and were excited to try this place - it has a great story of well-sourced and locally-crafted chocolate. However, the taste, texture and overall experience of the chocolate didn’t live up to our expectations - especially at the high price point. The coffee drinks were average and slightly overpriced ($5 medium cup of coffee and $6 small cappuccino). Cute vibe, great idea, nice location, and the employee was extremely friendly. However, we’d not likely return based on this experience and the chocolate we tried.
