EDIT: Management has changed for the better! They've improved the park drastically, although still a giant work in progress for them. Although not everything is 100%, everything has definitely changed and is no longer a stressful environment because of the previous manager, Its definitely peaceful again.
Original post:
As a longtime resident who has lived here for about 10 years of my life and has been around with all the changing managers over the years, the most recent is the absolute worst (John) he's caused so many issues since coming to the Park. This place used to be filled with residents and was incredibly nice, and now its terrible. There are so many issues with this park now.
Thefts, homeless people sneaking in/roaming, some of the bathrooms have been destroyed on SEVERAL occasions and someone has taken whole toilet paper rolls and stuffed them in the toilets and then taken hair from wigs and plugged the drains in the showers, as well as the doors being busted on one of the womens restrooms because of people not closing them all the way, and allowing people to use them freely (they have a code to access them) and one has been permanently locked as a result. Park maintenance is terrible, nobody has been maintaining the weeds and trash bins get overfilled beyond belief while others are practically empty (On full rows of residents).
John (Park Manager) is a thief, a liar, a snake and pockets money for his own (personal) use (that isn't his!) He is a sketchy guy and apparently new management has spoiled him . Lots of members of this park have left since John has been here, he's also threatened long time residents, and is INCREDIBLY DISRESPECTFUL as both my parents have had issues with him since he became manager and their just doing normal duties - paying rent, trying to get issues resolved, etc-. This park used to be beautiful, but has gotten really bad. They will play the "beat around the bush" game with people and will take your money and be unremorseful as they screw you over, and then when you have issues with it and take it to John he'll say "Take me to Court!"
My father (a very calm, and patient man) once tried to get something done because one of their maintenance guys was working on the water hookup at the RV next to us and the busted our line and flooded the ground outside, and didn't take care of it for a week, and my dad had to take care of it instead because of their neglect (then HE got mad at my dad for wanting it taken care of Like a normal person!)
There are SO many issues with this park, and if your not a longtime resident you won't know that, it seems pretty and nice on the surface but there's a lot you don't see.
If you come here, avoid John as much as possible, as he'll make your life a living hell for trying to be a normal resident and trying to communicate like a sane person. He has a tendency to ride in his car down the rows "scouting" out residents to make their lives hell, and to nitpick and cause problems to kick people out if the park as his plan is to make it a mobile home park (Not an RV park) I say this all from experience, from living here and being here as long as I have...
Read moreCasa Del Sol RV Resort,||We have had the dubious pleasure of staying at Casa Del Sol for last 2 years ( November to March ). We had high hopes when we heard there was new management for 2015/2016. As always you should be careful what you hope for. The current Management seems to be on some sort of mission to alienate the very people that pay the bills. From all appearances the park is understaffed from a maintenance point of view. The general upkeep of the grounds ranges from mediocre to awful. They decided to put in a pickle ball court which I would guess cost quite a bit of money especially when they had to redo the cement due to level issues. Lessons were to begin in January but the court is still not ready as far as I know. In the meantime there is hardly any functioning lights inside the park and a walk to the rundown dog run at night is not for the feint of heart.||It is very hard to tell what the philosophy is for the park. They seem to be buying older fifth wheels with the intent of renting them. In the two years we have been staying at Casa Del Sol we have never had an update from management or news of any kind about what is happening in the park. This combined with a Manager whose people skills are non existent has created an atmosphere of distrust and confusion. ||You might ask why we would stay in such a place. That is easy, it is the wonderful people that call Casa Del Sol home in the winter. Many of them have been coming for 15 years or more. The volunteer work is legendary in organizing virtually every activity including, golf, water aerobics, billiards, bus trips , Dinners, lunches, Breakfasts, you name it.||We had a few issues with management and we have heard of several others, some very troubling. We have therefore left the park for another with mixed feelings. Our review for Casa Del Sol RV park in Hemet would look something like this:|||| - Overall park condition, 2 out of 5|| - Management, 1 out of 5 (generous)|| - residents of the...
Read moreI have been coming to Casa for over 7 years. I have stayed at the park for months at a time year round. I am appalled by some of the reviews; yes there has been a lot of changes over the years but that comes with the territory. About 6 years ago, I did have a bit of an issue with the office staff but things have come a long way since then! I was sad to see Ann leave but the new manager Carla has been doing a wonderful job. All of my questions I've asked, she has always provided me with a genuine answer.. she is very courteous, dedicated to the park, and gives full attention to all customers, that shows a lot. When walking in to the office you are always greeted with a smile from the staff. They go out of there way to help you with all of your needs, including the maintenance supervisor (very nice gentleman) and security. In a short amount of time with the new management; the park started looking cleaner, a few of the "troubled" residents left the park or was asked to leave. Casa del Sol has wonderful residents that are very welcoming. You can call it a "small community" where everyone looks out for each other. There has also been many upgrades to the park over the years, the place is looking fantastic. Casa del sol is a place I plan to visit for many years to come and enjoy every minute of it. You are in walking distance to many shopping centers, restaurants, and a movie theater. Out of all the parks I have stayed at, I would say this one has the best location to just about anything. It is a shame when someone has a bad experience they tend to (maybe) exaggerate and write bad reviews, in my opinion that is a shame. If more people expressed their good experiences on reviews it would be a lot more helpful for the traveling RVers. I highly recommend this place and will always refer Casa to my traveling buddies. 5 stars...
