I called the Best Western Arizonian Inn to ask about a nonprofit rate. The two women I spoke with were very kind and accommodating. The first woman put her manager on the phone to see if there was anything she could do for me to bring the price of the room down a bit since I would be traveling with my supervisor and it was work related. I booked the room on the phone for two nights right then.
I arrived at the hotel and the staff was friendly. The room was nice and clean. We had a nice stay. Minus the maid taking our meal tickets for breakfast when she cleaned our room. When we mentioned this to the front desk to receive two new tickets, they weren't surprised and replaced our two tickets. Easily fixed and no problem at all.
When we checked out, we were told that the hotel's "system" was down and they could not print a receipt for the charges on our personal credit card. Jessi offered to email it to us and took down our email.
The following Monday, we had not received a receipt. We called the hotel and spoke to Michael. The first time we called, he hung up on us. The second time I called, he refused to assist me with obtaining a receipt. Michael told me that he doesn't have access to anything at the front desk because he doesn't work there. I let him know that I talked to Jessi and he said it was a safety issue to tell me when I could get a receipt from Jessi emailed to me. I asked when a manager would be available and he first told me that there was no schedule for that day and then he said that he has no manager and the closest thing to a manager is in California. When I asked for the corporate office number or the manager's phone number, he told me that he didn't know either. Michael then hung up on me.
About an hour later, I called back and Michael answered again. He didn't know it was me and when I asked about making a group reservation, he told me that he could assist me and that the manager, Marci was currently there. He asked me to hold when I asked to speak t Marci and then later told me she wasn't available and he would take a message down. I never received a call back from Marci.
I called Corporate who had a woman named Faith assist me. She contacted the hotel directly and they let her know they'd email me a receipt. Several hours later, Faith let me know that the investigation was closed because the hotel verified with her they sent me a receipt. I called Corporate back to let them know that the hotel did not email me a receipt. Corporate called the hotel directly again and I finally received a receipt.
It made me feel really uncomfortable that they refused to send me a receipt multiple times and like they were going to do something with my credit card to...
Read moreBeware if you have a disability before reserving at this motel. I use a company for business travel called CLC and booked a room from the restaurant up the street at 8:11 PM. I drove over to this hotel and attempted to check in at 8:25 and was offered a room on the second floor. I explained to the hotel clerk that I have a severe spine disability and would be happy to take that room as long as there was an elevator as I am incapable of carrying my luggage and self up and down the stairs.
When the clerk said that was the only available room and they DO NOT have an elevator, I politely asked him to cancel the room and I would travel down the road and find one that suits my disability and needs. He told me he can't cancel and to call the CLC who booked the room for me. I called the CLC and they called the hotel and they insist on charging for the room because they have a 24 hour cancelation policy yet the reservation was not even 24 minutes old. These greedy people would rather charge me for a room I can't even get to rather than keep a customer.
No where on the reservation page was I asked if I needed any special accommodations so how was I suppose to communicate that? Yet the clerks excuse was nobody asked for a ground floor when booking. The booking was done through a third party that they contract through to fill their rooms. Regardless the room had been booked for 14 minutes and I could not get to the room so why argue and keep the money?
We will dispute this ridiculous charge for a 14 minute reservation that they could not accommodate upon my arrival. They had the choice to accept the cancelation with no charge buy their greed is their priority and not service or doing the right thing.
I will be filing a complaint with the Arizona Attorney Generals office and asking them to file a suit for breaking the American Disability Act immediately before my personal attorney files a lawsuit for theft and discrimination against seniors with disabilities.
To think this hotel could have done the right thing and had a positive review but they would rather beat someone out of a few dollars so as they say, plat stupid games, win stupid prizes.
By all means if you want to support a business that steals the hard earned money of Americans than this company is for you. Otherwise drive past this terrible run down hotel that looks like it books rooms...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed here on 1/7/23. When we checked in, the front desk assistant was nice and personable. The room was nice and clean. We turned on the heat to the room and waited for about an hour for it to warm up. It wasn't doing very well. I called the front desk and he (I don't remember his name) offered to bring up a space heater and blanket. Minutes later he arrived with the items, plugged in and turned on the space heater, which was good. I asked if the heater could be serviced. He went and got some tools and in no time, he was back to reset the thermostat. The heat seemed to be working a little better but we still needed the space heater, which was a little noisy. I while later after I had taken a shower and had gotten into bed with my husband and a man, with a key comes into our room! He told us that they put him in that room and stood there, looking at us. Luckily, I was mostly covered! My husband called down to the office to complain. The front desk clerk answered and told my husband to hold on a minute and then hung up on him because the person that came into our room, was there. My husband then called back and the clerk said "sorry, it was shift change." He didn't know that our room was occupied! A little while later, my husband and I go to our car to get some items. When we returned to our room, our keys didn't work!! My husband had to then go and get new keys! On top of that the breakfast wasn't good at all. I have been traveling for a while and I have never encountered something like this. This was very disappointing. I am a traveling nurse. I had just finished an assignment and my husband and I were headed back home. I sometimes have to book extended stays at hotels. Hopefully this is something that I will never have to encounter ever again...
