Traveler Beware!!!! The whole experience was absolute horrible! It all started at check-in, when We weren't allowed in the motel lobby, at 4pm! Then as We started to book Our stay, We were approached by a local, who commenced to asking the value of My Wife's Shoes! Then the clerk allows, the other persons, inside and not Us! As the clerk continued to do the necessary paperwork, She returns to the window and told Us that She would be looking to give Us an upgraded room because We "look like decent people!" What was that supposed to mean!? Was it a racial thing because We were of a different ethnicity, than Her!? So, after shaking that comment off and entering one of Their "Upgraded Rooms," it was not very inviting! The bedsheets, were a very off-putting yellow and the room, was filthy and dingy! The shower, had what appeared to be a dark colored splatter of bodily fluids, dripping down the wall! As Our one night stay went on, We promptly left the place because it made Us very uncomfortable, to be there! We drove into Downtown, because We didn't feel comfortable hanging around the place!
So... We are not from Ft. Lauderdale and had a flight out, before Their 8am-11am, checkout window! As any honest person would, We dropped the room key, in the motel mailbox and agreed to take the loss of Our $20 deposit!
More than 24 hours later, We received a phone call from a different clerk (accompanied by the original clerk), at Richard's Motel! Telling Us that We took Their key and We forgot Our $20 cash deposit! We promptly explained where the key was left and that We knew that the deposit would not be able to be refunded, to Us! The clerk "looks" for the key and tells Us that the key is not, in the Motel mailbox! To which I reply, check Your countless cameras and You can see that I dropped off the key and We left the motel, at 5:23am! I, further informed Her that I can contact My attorney and the local police and get the footage, to prove that and cooperatively, My Google maps, will produce the exact time that We left, that morning! To which She paused a second and Replied, "That won't be necessary, Sir! We're sorry to bother You and Have a nice day!" Then Why call Me, 1500+ miles away, to harass Me about a $2 key and tell Me that I forgot My $20, in cash!? What was the plan, there!? We're They gonna ship My $20, back to Me, if They "found" the key?! Just get a new key made and buy Yourself something nice, with the remaining amount! How ridiculous, People! What an absolute catastrophe! Were going to the Hilton, from now on! I wouldn't recommend this place, to My worst...

I dont take delight in tarnishing one's reputation, but I will make it known when an owner tries to solicit when only trying to get a room. Shame on you Richard.
I called in after a long day at work, asked them if they would accept a coupon rate and also if they were pet friendly. The person on the phone was polite and had told me yes (as long as the coupon did not expire) to both questions I had asked. I was over 30 miles away from this location and drove to this location where there was no one present at the front desk. I picked up the phone/ intercom and a rude associate passed me on to the next location down the block. I get to the next location only to have them question the coupon (despite them saying they would honor it if it wasn't expired), and the associate who I had spoken with on the phone was the same individual who I spoke with at the front desk. He was willing to make it happen, but then all of the sudden, "Richard" calls him, telling him he would do it as long as I gave him a good review. I was all for that, because I always honor what I say. But the associate at the front desk completely forgot the fact that I had my puppy with me as well. Then out of nowhere, "Richard" calls back and tells him he doesn't want my business because I lied to him. That was clearly not the issue as I had informed them ahead of time I had a pet with me. The fact of the matter is that this hotel manager who likes to hide behind a wall and not deal with customers at a personal level is trying to get good reviews out of people in exchange for a stay in his hotel is very unprofessional in my opinion. And to be honest, I heard good things about this place, but once you get there, it is a completely different story. I for one don't recommend anyone going to this hotel. This manager clearly only favors Canadians and treats the locals like garbage. I don't recommend going there, plus the area is really horrible. Never in my life have I ever experienced such unprofessional and rude behavior such as this place. Misleading, false promising establishment. Thanks for wasting my time and my money for my first visit to...

I have a kitchen/dining room, large bedroom with TV and two padded rocking chairs. I have a full size stove and refrigerator, microwave, coffee/tea maker. The cabinets are well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, flatware. The bathroom has a large shower (no tub) with big bars of soap. Two towels, hand towel, wash cloths. The bedroom is well lit, and the WIFI is strong and fast and always on and is reliable. It has not gone down yet. The TV has the main channels and Fox, TBS, History, CNN, FNC, Weather Channel, 3 movie channels, HGTV, BET, Cartoon network, MTV, Nat. Geo., GSN, OWN, SCI, SyFy. The website has the channel numbers. There is a closet with shelves and a digital safe. There is a large clothes closet. There is a wide 2 drawer bureau. The wall A/C can be set to fan only or cold air. Windows everywhere for light and air. The bed is the most comfortable I have slept in in years. The cleaning ladies come by asking if you need supplies or clean linens or if you want them to clean. I have borrowed a broom and done it myself. They recycle glass, plastic, newspapers. There is a nice koi pond with a bunch of turtles and fish. Lots of plants and trees. It is on a quiet street, I am in back and never hear Federal Highway. We had a lot of rain so I have not used the pool yet, but it looks nice and clean, with lounge chairs. There is a soda/water machine but it only has Pepsi products. All items are $1 each. The office will give you a baggie of ice cubes, enough for 3 drinks or so. They also have free daily papers and free coffee. The office also sells big candy bars for $1. Staff are friendly and helpful. English and French are spoken. I am extending for another week so it must be good. There is a market across the street where you can get produce and hot Russian food. Down a block is CVS and a supermarket, Mexican restaurant. Bus stops are nearby. You can walk to downtown Hollywood or the Mardi...
