Ambience - Beautifully decorated place with bricked interiors, well lit and a small but well kept fish tank. There is a TV there which gets quite distracting during meals. The music was soft so conversation was possible.
Food - We ordered the following: Mixed Grill - Enough for 2 people. Succulent soft meat paired with a non spicy mint chutney. Lamb Rogan Josh - This is the first place I have noticed that has overloaded the meats in their dishes. 100% rating just for that. The boneless meat was so flavourful, and the gravy just gave it the right amount of kick. Cheesy Garlic Naan - Really delicious. Tandoori Roti - It's actually butter Naan, which was so soft, it was incredible. Sizzling brownie - very disappointed in It, as I was really looking forward to it. The brownie was hard and tasted like it was a day old.
Value for money - It has great value for money. Our entire bill came up to $57, and we had a lot of leftovers.
Portion size - large portions
Reservations - they do not take reservations. This is one of the rest. That is full, so be prepared to wait for a period of 5-10 minutes.
Staff - very friendly and quick with any order or request.
Overall a nice place for a dinner. Large crowds are...
Read morePros: Quality, hand-made food. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with hashbrowns. The hash tasted amazing and were hand shredded (you could see the chunks of potato in the mix that the shredding missed - I love this!). My girlfriend got pancakes. They were excellent. The flavor and portion size was good. The owner came by each table and thanked them for their business. This is annoying, but I appreciate it. Cons: I wanted the London Breakfast. Unfortunately, it came with three eggs and five meats minus beans, mushrooms, and grilled tomato (not very London!). The poached eggs in my Eggs Benedict were not fully cooked - a large portion of the whites were still clear and runny. As a result the egg yolks were also runnier than they should be (thick and viscous). By the time I was done eating, there was a watery, yellow soup left. It was kind of gross. The cheese grits were fine, but they came with just plain, unseasoned, white grits with cheddar melted on top. I had to add butter and pepper and mix it up for a proper cheese grits. Overall: I can see why people would like this. It is authentic in its approach to mimicking different food styles while still making the food recognizable as whole food. I...
Read moreSo disappointed! My husband and I usually enjoy the food at London Sizzler, even though there's always a debate about the cost. We have spent quite a bit of money at this restaurant. Recently, we wanted to treat some friends to dinner. They are vegetarian, so we thought Indian food would be a wise choice. Since I wasn't familiar with the vegetarian items on the menu, I asked the bartender if they had a simple vegetable curry. He told me they didn't, but they did have a vegetable karahi. He described the dish, reassured me that it was vegetarian, and added it to my takeout order. The food took almost 40 minutes and by the time we got it, we were in a hurry to meet our dinner guests. When we finally started to eat, our friend quickly noticed that the vegetable karahi was actually chicken karahi. We were so embarrassed that we had provided dinner for ourselves, but not for our vegetarian friends. It would have been less humiliating to have thrown that $14 (plus tip)...
