People have said "They're too high priced!" Some things are priced higher. And some things are lower. Depends on what you're looking for. Some people say "Why do I need Gordon's when we have Sam's Club and Costco?" Gordon's needs no membership AND is strictly food related products. No need to walk through the electronics, books, clothes, tools, mattresses...or outside lawn furniture. They don't have those. - Some people say "I don't want that much bulk at one time!" Then go across the parking lot to Aldis and bargain shop for your groceries. "What is Gordon's Food Service good for?" You may ask. What about that last minute social where you need to quickly cater an event? Or maybe a big backyard bbq? Or family reunion? Maybe Sam's, Costco, and downtown Halsey are out of your favorite to-go boxes? Or a deep fried mushroom appetizer? You're going to find some things you really like that you are willing to pay a little extra for so you don't waste your time walking through big busy parking lots of big box membership stores waiting in line behind a customer with the wrong price on their on shoes, mattress, or lawn chair. - This store is going to be great for wannabe chefs doing big parties, large family get togethers, caterers, restauranteurs, and any food related business that needs another quick alternative when the other stores are out of stock or too time consuming. -- Or maybe you just have some preteen kids that are getting expensive to feed. - Go in, check it out, and then roll on if it's not for you. But I'm all about...
Read moreI've made two online orders and had problems with both. Online store states the stock is there, and then hours AFTER my order should be available I get an email it's canceled. This last order I was supposed to have curbside ready by 11:00. At about 1:30 I called the store and inquired. The girl that I spoke to said the order was placed and in system but no one had pulled it. I asked if they were behind because of a particular busy day and she actually admitted it was a slow day and said she would go ahead and pull the product. No explanation of why it wasn't done to begin with. About 5 minutes later I get an email it was canceled. Another visit in the store I bought a large box of chicken quarters (40 pounds). Kept in my fridge for one night and next morning I opened the box and all of it was spoiled. I could not find an expiration date on the box anywhere. There were also several bags of chicken in store that had no visible expiration dates. I'm done with this business. I make homemade raw food for my animals and buy in bulk so this store has lost...
Read moreBeen coming here for about 2 years and it was great at first. Joined the member rewards program and used to get a $10 off coupon for Sunday shopping only through my email every week. That stopped after a month. Loved the 8 piece fried chicken. Delicious & a bargain at $7. Fried chicken hasn’t been available in almost a year as the person who cooked left & apparently no replacement was hired. So I started buying the rotisserie chicken special for $3 from 4-6 pm everyday and that is now hit or miss. I asked about it and was told if the person who cooks it doesn’t come to work, it’s not available. This is terrible customer service. You advertise both these items in your weekly flyers and they should be available every day during store hours. I hate to say it, but the service at this store has seriously declined. The few employees who work there have no knowledge of the products or availability or pricing. It’s pathetic. I know your store doesn’t require membership but I’ll pay to join Costco where the products & service...
