Apologies for a late review. I stayed in this property with a breathtaking ocean view early September 2021 with my elder dog. This was by far one of my favorite vacation spots I have ever been. Very laid back, friendly people, beautiful location, fantastic experience with management. This was the first time renting a residence, now I am hooked as the management and the “towel lady” that was recommended by management were so lovely. I had no issues and didn’t need to contact management, but they checked on me a couple times offering any assistance. That was much appreciated. The unit was clean and bright upon arrival (late at night) after driving 14 hours, I entered to lights on, TV’s playing music and ocean bliss with 2 balcony door walls. The elevator was great for unloading and loading luggage. One thing to note, the furniture in the photos had changed a bit. Still lovely, but the comfy looking balcony sofa in the photo changed to 2 cute but not so comfy rocking chairs (for a short person like me). The bistro table and chairs were very nice to enjoy the ocean even when it rained one day thanks to the balcony being covered above and open on sides and front. There were ample instructions provided, both in a message link sent by management, and a book at the condo, switches were also labeled. Tv and computer instructions were included. Early sunrise And sunset beach walks were the highlight. Windjammer live reggae music heard from the balcony the last night made me wish I could stay longer. Coconut joes right next door, and dog friendly deck was so convenient for dining. There were a hand full of dining options within walking distance, hope to come back and try all. The location, being on the ocean and in center of the small town strip was perfect for walking. The homes along the beach and along the main road are beautiful and can walk on side walk or beach for miles to enjoy the views. Drove to Charleston -25 minutes all-in and parked. Drove to folly and Sullivans islands- 10-20 minutes. Drove to mt pleasant shopping mall, target, and grocery, car wash- under 10 min. Weather was hot the first week of sept high 80’s and some days up to 90. Early morning and evenings were perfect for dog walking. The pool was super clean and very refreshing. Will be...
Read moreWe stayed at IOP Escapes (Unit 201) for two weeks and had a wonderful experience. With different family members traveling into IOP at different times over the two week period, the three bedroom 2.5 bath unit of IOP Escapes suited our needs just fine. The unit is located in the center of "downtown" Isle of Palms with two public beach access points located nearby so you have to accept that this area of the beach is obviously busier than spots located further up or down the beach. With that said, we used a rental beach chair company that set up chairs and umbella directly in front of our unit each morning and we never had any problem finding space to enjoy the beach. IOP Escapes provides two on site parking spaces and we used the public parking lot located at the end of the street for an additional daily and overnight parking with no issues (Located within 200 yards of th unit, $10 daily weekday $15 daily weekend with in/out privledge). The managment team was quick and responsive with any questions or small WI-FI issues that came up during our stay. Please be aware that this unit is on the side of the building that looks over Coconut JOe's (a local beachfront eatery that does have live music). This establishment has a large outside deck and is usually busy, but they are a longtime resident of the island and are very mindful of their business impact on the surrounding vacation properties. The noise was never a problem and we had no issues with sharing the view with the patrons of Coconut Joe's. We have stayed on IOP for many years and IOP Escapes provided us with the accommodations that we have come to expect from this wonderful vacation spot. Thank you to the owners, staff and management team of IOP Escapes for making this trip...
Read moreOur family trip to the Isle of Palms couldn’t have been better thanks to IOP Escapes and their amazing rental home, Palms Paradise. Palms Paradise is a newly built home and impressively decorated and with quality furnishings, housewares, and bedding. It truly felt like a home away from home. We loved the location which is only a minutes walk to the beach, and a quick car ride to the main strip. There was plenty to do at the house between the backyard with a pool and hot tub, to the upstairs porch with a bench swing. A couple impressive features of this home that I must mention are the whole home surround sound music system that could follow you from room to room, the chefs kitchen with a butlers pantry and separate prep area, two dishwashers, and two refrigerators, and an upstairs and downstairs coffee bar and wine chiller. There was really nothing that we were looking for in the rental home that we couldn’t find. I would whole heartedly recommend anyone who is looking for a rental home on the Isle of Palms consider staying at Palms Paradise. I also can’t say enough about the property management company, IOP Escapes, their communication was excellent and made the entire trip hassle free...
