IOPizza Co — Restaurant in Isle of Palms

I had a very bad interaction with an employee (server, blonde hair, middle aged) here. Description provided so the owner can know who I am talking about. I was on vacation in IOP and was walking around with a family member. We were looking to grab a bite to eat but we weren't set on what type of food we wanted. We walked up to the restaurant and I asked for a menu to quickly glance at what they offered exactly. The server said "well if you just down, you will get a menu." I thought to myself hm, why is she telling me to sit down in order to get a menu from her? But then I said ok sure, no problem. We sat down, she brought us menus and two cups of water in disposable plastic cups. We took about 1 min to realize the menu didn't have very many vegan options I was hoping for. She was outside interacting with another customer and we didn't want to wait for her to come around to tell her we didn't want to order anything. So we left the table and walked away. We were already 50 feet away from the restaurant walking and she came after us walking abruptly, asking why we left and what the problem was, in such an aggressive manner. Firstly, why are you following us? It was actually a little scary to be honest the way she approached us. I said we didn't see anything on the menu we wanted to order. She said "oh ok, well I hope you enjoy those waters." I thought to myself, what?? She wants us to not drink the water she provided us, when we didn't even want to sit down to begin with. I was shocked. She then stormed away with so much attitude as if she was insulted we didn't want eat there and wanted us to leave full disposable plastic water cups behind on the table, that we had already drank from, because we chose not order off their menu. I immediately brought the water cups back since she clearly thought we shouldn't be drinking them anymore, even though I know they will get wasted and tossed in the trash. I set them on the empty table next to her and said here's your water back. She said "oh well make an even bigger mess." I'm thinking, what mess? We didn't order, we didn't eat, we sat down not by choice. We didn't ask for drinks. It was bizarre y'all. It's sad really because the vibe of IOP is so nice but she was such a mean person. I felt harassed and considered calling the police for her coming after us after we left...

I would NOT Recommend this place to anyone for dinner! My wife and I are on vacation and thought we would try out IOPizza for dinner. We were told to sit anywhere we liked and a server would be out to taken our order. We sat outside and waited nearly 15 min before we were approached and asked what we would like to drink. We then ordered a Chicken Pesto pizza and it took them over 30 min to get our food to us. The pizza was so disgusting and FULL of oil we didn't finish it! I literally folded a slice of pizza and approximately 2 TBSP of oil ran out onto my plate! The crust was very chewy and the chicken was so dry on the pizza it tasted chaulky. We never leave our leftovers at a restaurant however, it was so bad we left half the pizza behind due to the terrible taste! We will NOT be returning...

Before taking the 🐶 dogs to the beach 🏖️ my husband and I wanted to grab a little bite to eat so we decided to stop into this little pizza joint on one of the main streets in Isle of Palms 🌴

The lady (so sorry I forgot your name-YOU ARE FABULOUS ) behind the bar was absolutely amazing. She was friendly and very attentive and offered some great suggestions for lunch. 👍🏻👍🏻

Ultimately, I had the gluten-free white pizza and hubby ordered the personal 10 inch pepperoni and green pepper pizza.🍕 YUMMY 😋 and drinks 🍹 of course!!

We sat outside on a beautiful sunny ☀️ day…the outdoor area is wonderful! Clean bathroom 🚽 and fresh food!

Did I mention the AMAZING mozzarella cheese 🧀 sticks!! Wow 😮 so good!!!
