Nestled on the coast, this establishment exudes an undeniable charm, offering an unforgettable fusion of foot-tapping tunes, coastal vibes, and fantastic entertainment. My recent visit to The Windjammer left me utterly captivated, and I can't wait to share my experience.
From the moment you step foot inside, the inviting atmosphere at The Windjammer envelops you like a warm southern hug. The rustic interior, complete with wooden accents and memorabilia, sets the stage for a night filled with the finest country tunes. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and a palpable enthusiasm, making us feel right at home.
The main attraction at The Windjammer is, without a doubt, the phenomenal live bands that grace the stage. Country music enthusiasts will find themselves in absolute heaven as talented musicians belt out heartfelt lyrics and strum soulful melodies. The bands possess an electrifying energy that permeates the entire venue, leaving no choice but to tap your feet and sing along to every song.
But the magic doesn't end indoors. The Windjammer's pièce de résistance is its larger stage outside on the beach, where the ocean breeze and salty air become an enchanting backdrop to the live performances. Picture yourself swaying to the music, toes sinking into the warm sand, while the sun sets in a symphony of hues. It's an experience that words can hardly do justice, leaving you with a deep appreciation for the beauty of life.
The Windjammer's commitment to exceptional service extends beyond the music. The bar offers an impressive selection of beverages to quench your thirst, including a wide array of craft beers, signature cocktails, and local favorites. The bartenders are attentive and skilled, crafting delicious libations with a touch of southern hospitality.
To complement the remarkable music and drinks, The Windjammer also serves a delectable menu of coastal delicacies. From fresh seafood platters to mouthwatering burgers, the food offerings cater to all tastes. I highly recommend indulging in their succulent shrimp po' boy or sinking your teeth into a perfectly grilled fish taco. The flavors burst with freshness and are the perfect accompaniment to the lively ambiance.
In addition to its musical and culinary prowess, The Windjammer boasts a vibrant community. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, the patrons and staff create a welcoming environment that fosters a sense of belonging. The camaraderie and shared love for country music make for unforgettable memories and new friendships.
In conclusion, The Windjammer is a hidden gem along the coastline, where country music lovers can revel in their passion while savoring the breathtaking ocean views. With an unmatched blend of talented live bands, a larger stage on the beach, outstanding service, delectable food, and a welcoming atmosphere, this bar is a must-visit for locals and tourists alike. Prepare to dance, sing, and create everlasting memories at The Windjammer—it's an experience that will leave you longing for more.

Read moreI’d heard about Windjammer several times and finally had the chance to head that way to see one of the locals favorite bands. My visit and experience did not disappoint!
When we arrived, the aesthetic exterior alone was a fun and welcoming sight with beach color tones of led lights in a soft hombre cascade up the stairs.
We first walked around the side of the building to check out the rear of the venue and the outside bars and sanded area where bands play. It was a comfortable open space experience I could really get used to!
We decided we wanted to check out the upstairs outside bar first, and grabbed a couple drinks.
I will say the poured drinks from the outside bar up stairs seemed quite a bit diluted compared to a normal pour we received at the inside bar.
We were able to chat at a normal volume while we hung out on the deck with our drinks since the band playing inside the venue was well insulated.
When we were ready to head in to enjoy the band inside we did have to wait in a line but the process was pretty quick, so that was a nice change from what I’ve experienced elsewhere.
Listen, when I tell you the vibe inside brought an instant smile to my face, that is really something!
People of all legal drinking ages were inside enjoying the music. Older couples, like grandparent ages, a bridal group of 20 something’s age, and every age in between.
The bar, as usual for any bar doing well, was a bit crowded to grab drinks but the servers behind the bar were moving fast and fair to serve in a timely manner. The drinks poured were the right combo of liquor and mix. I don’t like an overly strong drink, but I certainly don’t want to pay for mostly mixer, so these servers poured right and fast!
While it was certainly a busy venue, not once did I feel like I was being crammed in between people.
The outskirts of the stage had enough space for anyone wanting to not bump shoulders, to hang or dance and even chat a bit louder without it feeling deafening in there.
I can’t wait to visit again!
I do have to apologize for the lack of photos as I went for the experience and wasn’t thinking much about taking photos, but here’s a quick shot of the entrance stairs and a short clip of the...
Read moreI've been to Windjammer many times before and never had a bad experience. But this past night that we went was easily the worst.
Paid my $5 cover to get in, went straight to the bar (about 7 of us spread out) and waited ~15 minutes for a drink. This guy walks up next to me and the blonde bartender went immediately to him and asked what he wanted. He pointed over to us and said "I think they were here first"... when I pointed out that we had been here for so long and that she went straight to the guy that had been there for 3 seconds she rudely said "well look at all these people in here". (Pretty funny, the inside bar wasn't even that busy as there was a show going on outside).
I order my beer and my girlfriend orders her drink and when the bartender brings the check she's suddenly super nice (gotta be fake nice for that tip now!). She got the tip she deserved - a big ole ZERO.
We go sit down and when the bartender sees the check she starts throwing a fit in front of everybody. She sarcastically yells out to us over the people at the bar that are just sitting there awkwardly, "Hey guys! Thanks for the tip! Just so you know, you won't be getting drinks the rest of the night!"
Well, miss blonde bartender, let that be a lesson for you. Don't make someone wait 15 minutes for you to open a beer for them with a rude attitude and expect me to pay you for your service. I rate service with my tips. You got a 0 rating therefore 0 tip. You were clearly a bad bartender and it appears you hate your job - so you should probably quit and find a new one where you don't have to talk to people.
Oh, we went to the outside bar and got immediate service there. So much for the "no more drinks the rest...
