My Favorite Things — Local services in Isle of Palms

It was a nice shop until the red headed lady yelled at my child!! My child who cannot read yet grabbed some of the blue pebbles in the hermit crab display and was letting them gently fall back into the display out of her hand. This lady screamed at my child and said “no no no get your hands out of there!” She yelled loud enough for everyone in the store to hear her. I told her she needed to watch her tone when talking to children and that there was no reason to yell like that! She said well there are signs up. I said well my child cannot read yet! We left our things there and left, as did other customers who witnessed this. She has such a bad attitude even before this incident! I also noticed from the reviews that we weren’t her first victims. We will never go back into that...

Nice shop. Cool bird. The red headed lady cashier scrolling social media didn’t want to be there. I was getting ready to buy some stuff and my 3 year old who didn’t climb up to see the crabs the first time climbed up while I was getting ready to check out and the cashier asked me to please get my son which I promptly did. Not harm, no foul.

Don’t know if she was having a rough day or what, because she shook her head in frustration with her head in her palm and an unhappy expression on her face. So she lost the owner of the store some money because I wasn’t going to give my money to someone with a sour attitude towards me. Went here the other day & the cashier with red hair was extremely rude to my child. She burst into tears after we left. I am not sure why they have so many items you would think are for kids if they’re going to yell at the children who come in here. Especially when the child has done absolutely nothing wrong. I saw other reviews saying they had bad experiences with the same woman. I’m not sure why she is allowed to stay here & harass customers unless she is the owner. I pray she heals from whatever is causing her to treat others this way. We forgive her, but you cannot treat others, especially children, this way. Would not recommend bringing...
