Breakfast was a nice spread. The waffles are good but the lines gets long and backed up and takes away from time that people usually need to get somewhere (such as getting to a soccer tournament) because the waffle maker takes at least 3 minutes for one waffle. I would suggest making waffles ahead of time and keeping them in a warmer for people to take instead of having people make their own. Also cuts down on cleaning up the area since (kids especially) make a big mess of the batter and trash.||Had 3 light bulbs out in the bathroom and I had to call the front desk to replace. Obviously housekeeping is not bothering to tell anyone since they would have noticed it. ||Cleanliness could be way better. The bathroom sink had stuff on the underside of the rim from someone before our stay (like coffee splashes or something darker), which means they are not wiping out the whole sink. The toilet paper holder had what looked like dust, hair, fuzzies, etc in it, where the extra roll of TP sits. We also saw some fingernail clippings in the corner of the room so are they not vacuuming the rooms?? bathroom shower curtain was pretty shredded where the curtain rings go. ||Microwave lights did not work, and the rotating plate did not work so it is probably dying. ||TV was ok- volume was VERY loud during commercials, but very low during the movie we were watching. The channel guide was also off by one digit (guide said channel 20, but actually had to go to channel 21, etc). Also when we turned the tv on the pedestal to look more to the side of the room, the screen would get fuzzy at times but as long as it stayed facing forward, there were no issues (maybe there is a short in the cord)?||Consider updating the rooms. Carpet was coming up in the hallway, and some tiles in the bathroom were loose by the shower. Lighting is dark in the guest rooms and incredibly dated with the table lamps hanging on the wall that have to all be individually turned on. The wallpaper was a mustard yellow color, textured, and had the palm tree pictures hanging on the wall. This made it darker in the room and really just needs freshening up. Two trash cans in the room (one in room, one in bathroom) and they are pretty small so they get filled up really fast. Consider adding a recycle bin in there for bottles and cans that families consume. We also only had two teas and two decaf coffee pods for the Keurig so I had to go downstairs in the morning to get regular coffee. ||The elevator is at the opposite end of the hall away from the front desk. Everyone has to walk to the far end to get on the elevator then if your room is closer to the front desk, you'll be walking all the way back with your luggage. The side door is nice though because it is right next to the elevator. ||We did not visit the pool because older kids were in there taking over and...
Read moreThis organization was bad from the bottom up. I lost my driver's license and brought a photo copy along in case I got pulled over while driving (supplied by my company who had it on file) I was traveling for business and drove 369 miles. I had prepaid the room through Priceline. (Priceline explains I would need to present a credit card, which I did but they say nothing about a photo ID) I got there and no one was at the front desk. I called three times. Hello? And then I heard. "Be there in a minute" and out comes (I won't say his name) with rubber gloves on. Creepy. He didn't smile. I felt like I intruded upon him. I told him I would like to check in and he asked my name and then he asked for my driver's license. I provided my photo copy and explained my situation and he just handed it back to me and said sorry, we can't accept this. And unless I was willing to pay a cash deposit of $250 I couldn't stay there. I called the manager. I even called the corporate office. THEN my client called them. They still wouldn't allow me to stay there. THEN they wouldn't give me my money back! THE ROOM WAS PREPAID. Thing is; I had called the night before for a room and everything was booked so I told them I couldn't get a room anywhere else because they were all booked. They STILL didn't care. They were more worried about the fact I might damage a room. Than the fact that I had just driven 368 miles and was traveling by myself. They did not care and just kept saying to me "It's our policy" Well, I know how customer service works. And sure there are rules. And yes, I should have had my ID. But it was either stolen or I lost it. And Best Western has a policy. That policy has no human element to it at all. I wouldn't go there for anything ever again! Especially since the Corporate office wouldn't even help. I travel all the time and have never been treated like a non-person like this guy and his manager treated me. He needs to take lessons from Andrew at La Quinta Suites. After the Best Western kicked me out in the street. Not caring or offering me any help at all. I tried LaQuinta And Andrew answered. I asked him what would he do in this same situation. I ended up with a better room, closer to my meeting tomorrow and much friendlier people. If you ever visit Canton, as long as the guy with the rubber gloves is working the front desk, don't go there. Don't go there at all because the manager is very cold hearted. If you would like the royal treatment, go see Andrew at La Quinta. Andrew understands what customer service is all about. Sorry so long but I am still...
Read moreThe hotel has a nice modern charm to it; I enjoyed my stay. I am a traveling businessman, and this hotel was very clean and welcoming.
☆☆☆☆☆ 1st. The hotel was very nice welcoming and has a warm lobby; in the morning the lobby has a nice well-stocked breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits plus gravy, pancakes, waffles, and some extra goodies too. The lobby has the luxury of a simple continental breakfast too. The front desk staff members are very inviting and friendly to service your needs.
☆☆☆☆☆ 2nd. The pool room is very clean has a really nice pool and a hot tub; the pool goes to 5' for easy for swimming or a light cardio workout for a quick swim. The pool room has well-stocked towels, cleaned floors and, bonus friendly people just willing to take a dip in the pool.
☆☆☆☆☆ 3rd The fitness center is small with a TV, well-stocked water, and towels. The equipment is in working condition and is modern. To help you burn all those calories after eating all the delicious food the hotel has to offer for breakfast.
☆☆☆☆☆ 4th The hotel has plenty of options for snacks and drinks with working vending machines and it has laundry room; a little pricey but it's worth it to do your laundry with the hotel's washing machine and dryer.
☆☆☆☆☆ 5th. The room you will be staying in is a modern well lit room with a nice cozy feel. The room has a nice little business center for you to work on documents or projects. The bed is very comfy; the staff does their job correctly, and willing to go the extra mile if you hang your clothes or the towel wrong; the kitchen has a K cup brewer for tea or coffee, refrigerator, and microwave for cooking food and a place to store your clothing plus the bathroom is very nice and clean.
☆☆☆☆☆ 6th. The hotel staff shuttle service made my day; the shuttle car needs cleaning but other than that the staff did a fantastic job.
I get homesick easily when I'm away from family. The staff and the service members have made my stay excellent. 5 stars I recommend staying at this hotel any time plus a good price too. I wish I wasn't leaving soon; I definitely feel like I was treated like a guest at my friend's house plus the staff saved my road show from the neighboring hotel down the street. THANK YOU to the staff of the Best Western Inn...
