My dear Mother treated me to brunch today, 26 February 2025, where we had the pleasure of being served by Miss Daria at Another Broken Egg Cafe in North Canton, Ohio. My word, we were deeply impressed by her genuine humility, affable disposition, and extraordinary kindness. Daria is a truly down-to-earth individual; she embodies the ebullience and spirit of exceptional customer service — with a remarkably refreshing touch of generosity.
[Daria’s] congenial nature was evident from the moment we interacted [with] her. Despite her extensive, perspicacious three-year knowledge of the breakfast/brunch menu and her evident skill in recommending the perfect meal or treat, she remained modest and focused entirely on making sure each customer (including us) had a great experience. Very attentive, too! Give that lovely young lady her flowers and decorate her with her very own merit badge, for she is indeed an exceptionally hard worker, managing multiple tables and hungry diners concomitantly! Her genuine approach made us feel valued, welcomed and appreciated throughout our visit.
What truly set Daria apart was her heartwarming gesture that demonstrated her extraordinary kindness. Vacillating between the various menu options, I had enquired about the pancakes. Daria's explanation was empirically incisive, saying that the buttermilk pancakes were 'absolutely delicious!’, a simple yet profoundly impactful act of generosity and honesty. Taking her word, I trusted her wholeheartedly.
This thoughtful gesture not only brightened our afternoon but also highlighted Daria’s remarkable character. It also enlivened my temperament and mood enormously. I thought it a most munificent, hospitable gesture! Her willingness to help others, without seeking recognition or reward, speaks volumes [about] her humility and convivial benevolence.
Daria, in another magnanimous gesture, recommended that we try the salad on our next visit. (I forget the proper name of the salad as it is printed on the menu. I do apologise, folks.) Today, I respectfully requested that my order come without bacon (I am a scrupulous vegetarian) — which she assured me. A few short minutes later, my food came exactly how I requested it. Generously portioned. Gorgeous presentation, too. Thanks, Daria, for accommodating my meal and dietary preferences.
Daria’s courteous actions have turned an ordinary visit to Another Broken Egg Cafe in North Canton into something special. Her blend of modesty, warmth, and genuine care [for] others sets a high standard for customer service. I was astonished and amazed by her one-of-a-kind charm, energy, humour and vivacity. Additionally, the dynamism of her serving skills was simply sublime. She is a spectacularly swift worker!
If you fancy an experience that goes beyond just great breakfast and/or brunch food, Daria’s exceptional service, cheerful and confident attitude, friendly and warm personality, and humble spirit make her a standout choice. Indubitably.
Thank you again, Daria, for making our visit so memorable. Your humility and kindness are indeed notable hallmarks; they are truly appreciated and make you a remarkably valued part of the team! A special shoutout to a Ms. Dodi, who is another hard working team member.
It is difficult to imagine more cordial origins than those of the genius now serving at Another Broken Egg Cafe in North Canton, who is, in this chap’s humble estimation, nothing less than the finest server in town. We will be returning to this establishment soon, hungry for more.
Cheerio,
H.

Read moreMaaannnn, I have been waitin' months to dine here! And I'm here to tell you, that I was not disappointed!!! Darlene and I got slightly ahead of ourselves about the grand opening, and showed up weeks too early. But the staff were kind, they gave us a card with their information on it and menus! We used Yelp to find out wait times and saw that it was less than ten minutes. We arrived and got immediate seating at the bar. Darlene loves a Bloody Mary! She might be part vampire. Anywho, she gotta Bloody Mary. They have a selection. She chose the Abe Famous Infused Mary. In her words, it was refreshing! I dunno what it's infused with. But like the Covid vaccine, I took it. Actually, I just took a couple of sips. I honestly think it's infused with their house sauce (I bought a bottle). It kicks the drink up quite a few notches in the spicy department. It was garnished with capers, carrots, lime, olives, and crispy bacon! Effin' yum! And if you're like me and prefer whiskey, turn your Mary into a Molly with Jameson! Alright, so I was anxious. I prefer the mimosas. But I did not see that they have a variety of 'em. My mimosa was as basic a #SloaneRanger. But please try the others, 'cause I'm sure it's that party in your mouth appeal feel to them. Now, this is is the coup de grace! This for real life laid me down. The kill shot. Dar got the smoked salmon eggs Benedict with a side of city grits. Most folks don't know know this, but I haters ny eggs. I only eat them scrambled. But imma fan of lox and bagels! They pump the cream cheese onto the bagel (which Darlene hates, "cause she wants it spread edge to edge), then layer the capers, red onion, smoked salmon, and nestle a poached egg atop it all. Like I said, I'm not one for eggs that are not scrambled. But the poached egg ooze had a certain aesthetic to it that eyes that taste before mouth does. I was wrong. This was the the real kill shot. The City Grits. City Grits are slow cooked. Not like your mama's Quacker Quick Grits. These grits have smoked gouda cheese stirred into them. And are topped with crispy bacon tomatoes and green onions. And if that doesn't make your mouth jump for joy, think of what Lobster and City Grits will do for ya!!! This is City Grits kicked up to a million. Because they've added bite sized lobster and andouille sausage with red peppers with a spicy low country reduction to it! These grits are smooth and creamy like dress me slowly, I'm in a hurry smooth. Chromaticically thick creamy. This food is filling. It sticks to your ribs. Puts you in the mood for a nap! What we love most about it is, even though we got separate dishes, one dish is enough to share between two people. Hey! If this review doesn't inspire you to try the dishes that we had or any of the other dishes served here, I dunno what will.
Also big shout outs to my servers Kenzie,...
Read moreTerrible visit; I understand we went at 1pm and you all close at 2 but the service & food was terrible. Me and my friend requested apple chicken sausage, after ordering we were informed 10 mins later that they were out of the sausage. I also inquired on my to go cups. When the drinks were brought out, my water and orange juice were brought out in glasses that were visibly filthy. When I said something to our water he said “I thought you were just asking if we had to go cups I didn’t know you wanted your drinks in them”. He offered to bring out the to go cups but I didn’t want my drinks transferred from one dirty cup to a clean one, hence me asking for to go cups in the first place. The table was not wiped down, there were opened coffee creamer cups that were from a previous guest. When the food was finally brought out the waiter had the nerve to bring us bacon that had been clearly sitting all morning. The bacon was literally burnt, not crispy but burnt. The side of bacon that was ordered for my daughter literally looked like the scraps at the bottom of the pan. When I requested for the bacon to be remade and fresh the waiter came back out and said they were out of bacon for the day. That is when I requested a manager, a young girl that informed me the bacon came from the “crispy” pile and that they were all out of bacon for the remainder of the day. I informed her we would not be paying and left. Disappointed is an understatement. The pancakes eggs and bacon that were served looked old as if it had been sitting. The bacon was so hard and cold it crumbled into pieces. The pancakes felt as if they’d been microwaved. Not sure how all the main breakfast meats were sold out but I honestly believe they precook a lot of the food they served and just stop cooking things after a certain time out of laziness or just not wanting to do it. I used to love this place and have visited frequently. There were so many young people running this establishment when I walked in and they are going to run it right into the ground. Safe to say I rate my experience a 0/10 and I drove almost 25 mins away just to have a horrible experience. I will absolutely not...
