Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings — Restaurant in Jackson Township

I had to call the police!!! This is the place for drama, not for service! There is absolutely no professionalism in the management nor staff. They did make the day of New Year’s Eve memorable for sure! Just not in a good way. ☹ I ordered a cheesesteak to go and went home without delay. I found my purchased item to be extremely lacking. (See photo) I drove back to return the sandwich, asking for a simple refund. That’s when the real fun began... When it seemed like I was being ignored, I started video recording. I stopped when it looked like they were going to do it, but then they proceeded to ignore me again. So, I started recording again. (The videos were way too long to post) Eventually, I was told I had to wait until a manager could come to the site to make the refund happen. No one there could do it. This was completely absurd! When the manager finally did arrive, he completely ignored my presence despite the staff informing him of the situation. I had no other recourse but to call the police. Upon their arrival, the manger decided to give me my refund whilst he still tried to be argumentative with me. I intend let everyone know that this a place to avoid, especially when there are so many other excellent...

I feel like I'm probably one of the first customers because I walked in even though the sign said "coming soon." The manager said she was training up some employees and that they would be open tomorrow. And full disclosure, since they're not open yet she handed me a chicken and pepperoni Philly steak with fries for free. Now I'm pretty sure they're going to charge you for it but it's kind of cool to give the first review anyway. The fries are really fresh and the sandwich itself is absolutely a thing of beauty. I probably would have gotten steak but this chicken and pepperoni has got me rethinking that decision. Because a cheese steak is pretty straightforward but making the chicken just the right amount of juicy and the pepperoni just the right amount of contrast to keep it from overwhelming, that's a thing of beauty. All the staff is friendly and frankly if you're looking for a place with classic cheese steak and wings taste, along the lines and price point of a five guys, this is exactly what you want. Kudos to the manager and staff and all the best in this spectacular...

Got to enjoy this location on it's opening day. Was surprised to find out how small it is inside. Even after COVID that dining room is going to be a stretch...most of the room is taken up by where you'd stand in line for the checkout.

That being said, service was decent. We were greeted the minute we walked in "Welcome to Charlie's!" Which is always a delight.

The sandwich was pretty good. I got an original philly steak. I had no personal complaints but honestly it's just your run of the mill "shredded steak" sandwich. Anyone that's had a real philly knows there's a distinct difference between those and what charlie's offers. Im not sure I can say it's the worlds best cheese steak like their slogan touts. It was a lot of food, and a bit expensive but it hit the spot. The meal included fries and there was also option for multiple flavors of wings which sounded pretty good.

In the end i think it's worth visiting but it offers nothing more than what Belden Villages current sandwich offerings provide. Worth the visit if you're...
