Room was nice. Bathroom a work in progress? The tub and bathroom ceiling were definitely in need of an update. The balcony outside our room could have used a vaccum too. Disappointed that when we booked there was no mention of the pool being closed and no continental breakfast despite being advertised. The lounge area around the pool closes at 10, but unfortunately at midnight there were several LOUD individuals still out there. called the front desk and they said they would send someone to talk to them. I believe they did because 10 minutes after the call, the individuals were no longer out there screaming their conversations. Called the hotel on my personal phone and call was answered with only "hello". Wasn't sure if i had called the correct place and before I could ask i was hung up on. Called again and call was again answered "hello" and I had to ask if i had the correct number. Not a horrible hotel. Staff was pleasant. Issues seemed to be more cosmetic other than no notification of pool being closed and no breakfast.

This place is gigantic and was a staple in it's day. While it shows its age/era and the parking lot could use some weed removal, our room had nice finishes and the main bed was super comfortable. Breakfast vouchers come with the room and the breakfast was good. The pool area is a nod to the past, but my kids had fun at their indoor pool. Due to its sheer size and the expense of renovation, the motel is a constant work in progress, but they are working on it and the staff works hard for guests. The price reflects this.

I’d make this a zero star hotel if I could! Cockroaches 🪳 in the room and no accountability on getting me a refund. Staff is well aware of their problem. I walked in and walked out. Didn’t even get the chance to set my stuff down. 5 days later still can’t get a phone call from the manager or my money back. I was nothing but nice for the first 4 days of the back and forth however, now I’m mad! Health department has been notified. Skip the headache, spend the extra money and pass on this dump!!!

Not at all. I felt bad for the owners or whoever was working, they felt bad cause they knew it was so bad. But they should not have been renting their rooms out. We arrived late, they gave us our key, we unloaded, rolled all our stuff to our room opened the room to find it was still dirty from the people before. So gross. I went to the desk, he apologized and gave me another room, this time upstairs (no elevators). We lugged everything up stairs and to our room, opened it to find the same thing, dirty room untouched. Blankets every where towels piled. Lugged all our stuff back down to the desk, this time to find no one. Waited around for a bit, but husband started playing the piano trying to make enough noise that someone would come… nothing. So I tried calling the front desk. I’m standing there hearing my phone ring and the front desk with no one coming. I tried 3 times. The last call, the nam started to walk inside from the front doors. We explained there was another dirty room, he was very apologetic and gave us another upstairs room. We lugged all our stuff back up stairs and down the hall, opened the door and were so pleased to finally walk into what seemed like a clean room. Unfortunately, when my husband pulled the sheets down there were about 4 pubic hairs, and a few more long dark hairs from a head. The floor was sticky in lots of places and you could see drippings all over the tile floors of what looked like a cocktail was sloshed around.
We were sooooo tired at this point we just decided we will get our showered and wear our clothes and socks to bed and hope for the best. As we pull the towels from the wrack all but one are dirty. I called down to let the desk know and he apologized again and brought up fresh towels. He said he was also going to discount our room to $70 due to all this trouble. I then explained that we used points for this room, he said not a problem, they will credit back what it is and make it right. All in all they really tried but it was so so bad. We finally got to bed around 2am and never heard or saw any sort of...

I think whomever is in charge of housekeeping needs to be retrained or fired. The floors needed to be swept and mopped. There were chunks of dried mud everywhere. I'm pretty sure dusting was the only cleaning that was done to the room. I almost forgot to mention the thing that pissed me off the most. All I wanted was a hot bath at the end of a long day. Ya, that didn't happen. I've cleaned hundreds of hotel rooms. I've worked in luxurious hotels and some not so luxurious ones. In every one of them, special attention is always given to cleaning the sinks and bathtubs. Hair is unacceptable in either. There was hair in the tub, and the drain had a shocking amount of long black hair. Maybe the maid was too grossed out to touch it. But seriously, if you are Management and you read this review, PLEASE get some competent help. These rooms are not cheap, and you are paying these people . They are cutting corners and / or not bothering to do basic hotel cleaning. This hotel has been one of my top 5 places to stay in Kearney, NEBRASKA, for as long as I can remember. It's huge. The open area around the pool is massive. I learned to fly a drone one night while staying there. That's how big it is. It's always fun to walk around in. You can easily get lost if you don't know where you're going. But that's part of the fun and adventure. The pool is so cool. And there is a neat bar that looks like a tree house. They no longer do any kind of breakfast service. A dirty single use coffee maker in the room. No sugar or cream packets usually. Every time I stay at this hotel, I take my dog for a walk outside, then another when we get back inside. It's so big that you hardly ever see other guests. And when you do, they're usually holding a map and looking for their room. I don't usually help because I'm lost also. That and I don't really like people. My last 2 stays have had similar issues, and I may not be returning. Management should be doing something before it becomes a trappy pay by the hour dive. Sadly, I don't recommend this place the way it...

This place was awful. We will never be back. Front desk staff was rude. When we shared our concerns and complaints, they could only respond with “we’re under construction”. The pool was not heated. No breakfast. The bar was closed permanently. No spa tub. No fitness center. Literally just a bed to sleep. The kids were so excited to go swimming until they couldn’t get in the water because it was freezing. We also noticed no odor of chlorine nor jets running. When we went to take them to the hot tub to see if that was better there was a note. Not even where you check in. It was from the health department shutting the pool/spa and fitness center down due to violations of codes. All the enter doors were broke and could easily enter without any security. The whole building is run down. Nothing worked and the smells were horrific. We wanted a refund and to move to another motel but of course all the decent ones were already booked. And when we spoke with the front desk man he shrugged and said “we’re under construction”. We also loved rooms from a suite to a regular room to be close to the pool. We had already paid for the suite and received no refund for downgrading. Let’s be honest. The whole place is a...
