Whiskey Creek Wood Fire Grill delivers an unforgettable dining experience that’s packed with flavor, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality. From the moment you step inside, the rich aroma of wood-fired cooking sets the tone for a meal that feels both rustic and refined.

The menu is a meat lover’s dream, featuring expertly grilled steaks, ribs, burgers, and chicken, all cooked over real wood for that unmistakable smoky flavor. Their ribeye is a standout—juicy, tender, and seasoned to perfection. Pair it with a loaded baked potato and fresh, buttery rolls, and you’re in comfort food heaven.

Beyond the entrĆ©es, Whiskey Creek impresses with its thoughtful extras. The appetizer selection is generous and creative—don’t miss the crispy onion tanglers or the smoked gouda queso. Their signature BBQ sauce adds just the right kick, and the hand-crafted cocktails and whiskey selections are top-notch, perfect for sipping and relaxing.

What really makes Whiskey Creek shine is the atmosphere. It strikes the perfect balance between cozy and lively, with warm wood tones, friendly staff, and just the right level of energy. Whether you’re out for a casual night with friends or a special dinner with family, it’s a place that feels like home—only with better steaks.

Service is consistently excellent, with attentive servers who genuinely care about your experience. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the quality is always high. For a satisfying, flavorful meal in a welcoming setting, Whiskey Creek Wood Fire Grill earns every one of...

I love my flat iron steak and have been going to Whiskey Creek for years like since I was ity bitty. Went during lunch both my little sister and I got steak for our meal. Received my salad but got no bread. I waited further until we got our steaks and still no bread so I had to ask =(. When I ordered my steak the waitress tried to upsell me like they do, with a loaded baked potato. I told her just EXTRA butter and EXTRA sour cream. When I received my plate the potato was loaded. =( so after waiting a very long while (only 2 bites of my steak left) she finally came back over. I told her I could be wrong but this appears loaded. Her fake gasp of shock gave her away as to her knowing. She had me put the baked potato on the dirty salad plate and brought me a new one at which time I was done with my steak. I also had to ask for more water =( We were all finished for the most part my 5 year old sister was still munching when she gave us our bill. I was waiting on my sister, when the waitress came up and asked me if I was ready with my bill! I was like what?!! I wasn't going to say anything at all to the manger about having to ask for everything that is your job to do, but when she asked if I was ready to settle up I was appalled. When I'm ready it will be at the end of the table, don't try and hurry us out. At which point I asked for a manager, he came over immediately over doing the genuine vibe, when I told him what had occurred he did give a discount trying to make it right but his fake concern or genuineness voided...

My Sister, my Mom and myself were in town for the week. We were looking for a steakhouse and found Whiskey Creek and we'd give it a try. That was a huge mistake We all three ordered steak one med rare, two med well, none of them were cooked correctly. My steak was completely raw on the inside and so was my Moms. My Sister's which ordered the med rare was cooked. The waitress said she could have the under cooked ones cooked more. They brought them out the second time and mine was still really rare, it was good a thick steak so I cut it into horizontaly so he could cook the inside. The cook brought it out to our table set it down and told me to check it, it was so burnt I couldn't cut it much less eat it. The cook should have been ashamed of himself for bringing that to a customer. They did comp out meals but . I would have preferred to paid for a steak I could eat. Also on the way out several of the wait staff were standing at the end of the bar laughing because he burnt my steak. I didn't appreciate his attitude. So my experience in this restaurant was not a good one, and I wouldn't...

Very good atmosphere food and service. Me and my friend went in and got seated right away and attended to immediately upon being seated. Now that being said if we would have went a little later it might have been different because we went in when there was just a couple of cars on the lot. Food did take a little bit longer to come out for us because other people did start coming in and ordering before us because we always have to take 15 minutes to decide what we want even though we know what we want lol. I got the prime rib and my mouth was watering for it until I ordered it the wrong way but still absolutely delicious šŸ˜‹. Appetizer and drinks exactly the same superb. Will go back another time. Thank you all for your hard work and service. You are greatly appreciated.

Steak was delicious! Waitress was fairly good. 2 stars you ask. Took for ever to get food with what looked like a not busy restaurant. Pulled pork bbq sauce is too spicy for my son but I thought it was good. However the sandwiches looked rushed when put together. The primerib sandwich was a soggy mess and the aujus was absolutely disgusting. Fries were good when the came out. Restrooms were Meh slightly on the messy side but one person could mess that up at any time. Manager did not come around like they used to. Made a point to stop here (from our return trip from the blackhills) as we always love this restaurant when we make it to town but wish we wouldn't have wasted our time now and will probably find a different restaurant next time we stop in Kearney.

Subpar steak at best. I ordered a medium rare steak that came out well done and with a serated knife so that when I cut it up, I might be able to chew it (canner grade beef). The "steamed" broccoli had clearly been in the microwave but still tasted pretty good (good seasoning), my "sauteed" onions and mushrooms ($2 upcharge) consisted of a single hemispherical slice of onion and a single mushroom cut into about 3 slices and they had clearly been cooked for about 2 minutes in scorched butter. Everything said, their baked beans were outstanding. I'd never go back. That's $45 down the tubes (2 beers also in that price).
