This was our first time at Los Magueyes. Overall, we were very happy with our experience!
Food: We ordered a Fajita Taco Salad (pictured), Chimichunga (a la carte) and a quesadilla kids meal. We ordered waters and only paid $25. The taco salad was MASSIVE and could easily have fed two people in my opinion. The chimi was good and came with a delicious sauce. The kids meal came with French fries and a drink. The free chips and salsa were good. The chips were a bit lighter and less salty than most Mexican restaurants we’ve tried. The salsa was traditional house salsa with a medium heat.
Customer Service: All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food came out super fast and they were attentive to our needs.
Atmosphere: The main dining room has recently been remodeled and is clean and comfortable. There is music playing, but it is at a comfortable level. The only criticism is the bathrooms, which are in rough shape and need a deep clean or remodel.
Definitively give this place a try! We will be back next time we are...
Read moreOutrageous! I wish I could give less than 1 star! There are so many things wrong with this restaurant it's hard to put down in this small review. First off, when a person has a cilantro allergy, don't bring out food on that person's plate that contains that allergen! The guacamole put on the side of the plate. had cilantro in it! Second, to spend $80 in a Mexican restaurant with four senior citizens is simply outrageous! For that price I would have expected finer dining! A bowl of soup was one person's meal! $20 per person!? In a Mexican restaurant!? We ordered the cheese dip, what a joke!! It was as if it came out of a can! And the price that they charged for LESS than half a cup of this canned cheese!! Are you kidding me!! I don't believe any of those reviews that are currently on this restaurants website. There's absolutely no way people in Kearney are that desperate. Shameful,...
Read moreNever done this, but apparently can’t order 1 taco You must order in pair because it is weighed before served. That automatically makes me assume that this is stored in the fridge in Plastic bags. My plate was extremely hot which is ok but why is my plate hotter than my food? Maybe they keep the plates warm Under the heat? Ok cool but I automatically assume that the just microwave the food since after we ordered the food didn’t take more than 4 min which is pretty cool. Enchilada Suiza is just tortilla with tomatoe sauce, no flavor needs at least salt. The “shredded chicken” looks pale just probably boiled and toss on a bag and store on fridge to be microwaved later. Same chicken used for nachos, enchiladas and tacos …. So yea not cool imo thanks...
