Margaritas Kearney — Restaurant in Kearney

Great place for Mexican food. Big portions and not over priced food. Great selections between meats, and seafood. Different than most Mexican restaurants in Nebraska. Glad they are here. I tried their seafood and meat. Carne asada is great make sure to ask for well done. I also had the mojarra frita which is a whole fried tilapia! It was Amazing!!!! Great service and they tender to your request. Being new they have to so hopefully that doesn’t go away over time. I will say it is the best Mexican restaurant in Kearney. Big space and great waiters and staff. Be patient and every thing will go smoothly.

Update: It’s been awhile and this place has gotten worse from when it opened. Good seems to be old and have a weird flavor. Staff is rude sometimes even when it’s not busy. It has dropped in quality and service. They can do better. Portions are big but it doesn’t taste fresh. Hope they...

This place truly deserves a 0/5 stars. The experience for which me and my guests was not that of which one would expect out of any restaurant. Especially during these difficult times. The wait staff was blatantly rude: one waiter slammed down the drinks we ordered after which he walked away instead of offering a rag for the drink he spilled, didn't introduce himself, only gave one warning of the heat of the plate when three plates were hot, didn't offer water, didn't get chips while giving us salsa for chips we no longer had, and gave very rude stares. If this is the guest service expected from Margarita's, then in no way would I recommend this place to anyone wishing to have a good time. On top of it, the food was subpar. Colorful restaurant with decent food - veg options clearly marked

We recently ate here on a road trip from Atlanta to Salt Lake City. We had a huge truck with a trailer and a car on it with all our son's stuff, so we needed somewhere that was safe to eat so nobody would steal our stuff. This restaurant was great. The food was typical Mexican with lots of veggie options. I had an interesting dish called Chilaquiles con huevos which was crispy deep fried corn tortillas scrambled with eggs and sauce topped with cheese, rice and beans. It was really yummy. We also had the veggie enchiladas and the Expresso vegetarian. Everything was delicious and I had enough left over to eat later on...
