I have been a full time resident at this RV park since December 2023. My occupancy here has been riddled with harassment and discrimination from the manager, Dave for months. The latest instance was during this past week when hurricane Milton was threatening to be the worst hurricane to ever hit Florida. Many residents, including me, were outside preparing their trailers and other property for the storm when Dave rode up to my site on his golf cart and immediately started yelling at me. His mannerisms were aggressive and he was extremely belligerent. Noticing the aggression from Dave from across the street, a short-term visitor of the park walked over to try to settle things down. Dave immediately turned his aggression toward him, and upon realizing he was not going to be able to bully this person, he immediately got in his golf cart and drove away. This behavior has gone on for months with this manager targeting me with so-called rule violations for things that other tenants are not being held to - so, essentially discrimination coupled with months of harassment. Keep in mind that in this particular instance there was a giant hurricane coming - which ended up causing lots of damage throughout the RV park - and instead of working to prepare the park for it, Dave was out driving around looking for violations and yelling at people. I’d like to add that myself and another spent our time going through the park flipping picnic tables and/or strapping them down to help prepare the park for high winds. If you like getting yelled at and harassed, this RV park is right for you. Me and my family are loved throughout the community and have made friends with just about everyone… and in doing so we have yet to hear anything positive about Dave. Most if not all the residents dislike him and complain about his lack of respect and tendency to “be in charge” We have complained about this manager for months, and so have others. Why haven’t you done...
Read moreThe showers have no hot water. The parking spaces are incredibly cramped making it extremely difficult to back a camper in. The showers don't even have doors for privacy. They have a flimsy curtain. In addition, they don't even have a bench to put your stuff on when showering, so good luck keeping your clothes dry or having any privacy whatsoever when dressing or undressing. They also do not have any accessible showers, so if you're in a wheelchair, you're screwed.
EDIT since I can't reply to the owner's reply
The water from the shower flooded the hall immediately outside the bath area, and I had to walk out to the entrance by the sink in order to dress without my clean clothes getting wet. There was no privacy. As for their claim about the accessibility showers, there is a step up to even enter the shower itself, with nowhere to sit, so it actually isn't accessible. It may have a removable shower head, but someone in a wheelchair still cannot use it.
At the end of the day, the showers are a joke. The water floods out making the hall area a danger to walk in, you cannot get dressed or undressed with any semblance of privacy, and the showers in the bathhouse I used were not remotely accessible.
Edit 2 I did have some hot water this time, so that was an improvement, but as you can see from the pictures and video I attached, the statement about level ground and removable shower heads for accessibility was an outright lie. I need to check the other bathhouse to see if it is any better.
Edit 3 There is definitely more privacy in the 2nd bathroom, however there is a step DOWN into each shower, and as previously mentioned with the other bathroom, the claim about removable shower heads is a...
Read moreMy family pays for two long-term sites at this park. We have had several issues with the manager that we have reported to their corporate offices multiple times, but to no avail. The latest was this past week when people were trying to get buttoned up for hurricane Milton, which was expected to be a very large hurricane. While we were outside anchoring both trailers down and buttoning up everything else that is outside in case of high winds, the manager took the opportunity to drive up on his golf cart to yell at us. Not the first time this has happened to my family. And this instead of spending his time preparing the park for the forthcoming hurricane. Turns out it was a big one, and the high winds did some damage in parts of the park. Luckily my son had gone through the park and taken care of the picnic tables so they wouldn’t blow around. Essentially looking out for his neighbors. I have never been treated like this manager treated me in a business setting, or even seen customers treated the way the manager of this park has treated my family. If you’re looking for short-term or long-term RV space, KEEP LOOKING!
I am attaching photos we took after hurricane Milton. Powerful winds caused severe damage, and blew big trailers off their blocks and bent/damaged jacks and other parts of them. This is what the manager should have been preparing for instead of yelling at...
