I am a local and my family has been buying from here since they opened. Never had an issue until now. I tried to make a large order over the phone on Sunday night near 1/2 hour before closing. I was told they will not accept it and I had to come there and pay in person first. I was busy with my disabled wife so I sent my 24 yo son to place the order. I sent him a text message with the details of the order for myself and my wife, along with my daughter and her husband. He was going to also get food for himself. The total he paid was $54.14. He dealt with an older guy, about 45 or 50, he said. By the time it was all done and he got home with the food and we looked through it, there were items missing. (What we got was worth about $43.10.) Knowing that they were closed already (after 10pm) I did not try to call them and ask my son to contact them on Monday to resolve it. I figured that mistakes happen and are usually easy to take care of. When he went there in person the next day (Monday) he was told that they don't make mistakes and got what was ordered and paid for. He is non-confrontational so he left. So I got the receipt from him (only shows a total amount) and went there after work on Tuesday afternoon (today). When I tried to explain to the lady what happened Sunday, she cut me off and accused me of trying to scam her. She said she remembers me as someone that came in a few months ago complaining that the food I got there made my mom sick. (My mom died about 7 years ago.) I tried to tell her she was mistaken and asked her to look up the receipt for a breakdown of what was paid for. She repeatedly told me that my son got what he paid for and that I was trying to scam her. (I did raise my voice once that she was wrong and I am not a scammer) I take that very personally as I have NEVER tried to scam for food or money or anything like that. I am not some low-life scum that steals from people. She flat out refused to see my text message that I sent my son for the order or the list that my son-in-law wrote up for what food we got when we opened the bags at home. I again asked her to find a way to see what my son was charged for and I was told that it couldn't be done as all receipts are gone after each day. I was as civil as best as I could be and she once again told me that they don't make mistakes except for maybe once a year and she didn't like me trying to scam her out of food or money. I told her that I must be that once a year mistake and she just doesn't care. I left very upset. As a local, I will make it a point to make sure others know that the cust does not matter in a place that makes its money from mostly tourists.
I have NEVER had a business simply unwilling to even discuss the matter and then insult me and accuse me of scamming. What a terrible way to do business. I am sure they won't miss my money but maybe someone reading this will have a different choice of where to buy from...
Read moreI typically don't write reviews, but the food I received from this restaurant was genuinely disappointing. My friend and I ordered fried chicken, with fried rice and a spring roll.
This is the first time I've had a spring roll that I disliked. It was overcooked and hard to bite into, and the filling tasted old and slightly moldy. The fried chicken's exterior was also overcooked, and yet the inside has a strange taste (similar to the fisher-price plastic play-food toys kids pretend to eat at daycare's, but the play-food is a bit tastier in my opinion). The rice tasted like they not only overcooked it, but they served the rice that gets stuck at the bottom of the pot when it begins to burn. Just a sad sad excuse for a meal. We couldn't even finish it and ended up just discarding everything after a few bites.
We also requested that the food be packaged separately due to our dietary preferences, but of course that small request was disregarded. All of the fried chicken was packaged in the same container as the pork fried rice. Leaving us with a weird rice covered soggy-but-hard fried chicken combo.
To top it off, when we requested a refund, all that we were being offered is a $5 refund. The food was deplorable. Burnt, over fried, and possibly expired. Overall 0/100, don't waste...
Read moreThis restaurant should rename itself as 'China Bad Taste'. Not only much more expensive than all chinese food restaurants I purchased from before, but the food is unedible, perhaps with the exception of the white rice. The beef and pork taste horrible. I seriously think that carboard would be more palatable. I ordered a mixture of beef, pork, shrimp, some more meats I can't think of, and vegetables. The sauce was tasty, but as I said the beef and pork were disgusting, I basically spat them out. Most of my meal (which, by itself, cost $13.95 plus taxes) was composed of vegetables. I eventually found a lonely, overcooked shrimp in there. As for the other meats that were listed on the menu as being part of my meal, I simply couldn't find them. Perhaps that's why I can't remember what they were. My husband ordered from the beef menu, and couldn't swallow any piece of beef, it was that bad. Not to mention that he had a hard time finding any beef in his meal. He also ordered vegetable rice. Instead, they gave him pork rice, which had a funny chemical taste and was, jut like most of the meal, inedible. Not buying from that restaurant, ever again. Fingers crossed that we...
