Had a few days off, so we decided to take advantage & get away for a few days. We booked 2 nights at the Cedar Lodge and were pleased with our accommodations. The room was clean and spacious. The place was very quiet and made for a serene few days. The outdoor pool was very nice, but cold. Not their fault, since at the end of July you would expect it to be a comfortable temperature, but it has not been your typical warm weather this summer to do it's job to heat it. Love the second floor deck with the Adirondack Chairs, which were very relaxing. A very nice place, with a reasonable rate for this area and plenty of things to do around without needing to drive far. The manager, was also awesome; Very welcoming & friendly and a true asset to the place. The same could be said about the housekeeper, who I encountered the first morning there.||Now, just a couple of critiques- The beds are VERY HIGH! If you are elderly or have a physical disability, you may likely have an issue getting up into the bed. I myself have a serious knee problem, so it was painful for me to do so. The manager was kind enough to search for a step still for me, which I thought was extremely sweet if her to do. The tub is very deep and again, an elderly or disabled person may have trouble getting in & out, so I strongly suggest a handicap bar just to grasp. Now, my one & really only complaint, the maintenance man should really watch his mouth & attitude, as he too casts a reflection of the place. He was obviously frustrated by his job assignment of needing to pound posts into the ground, as his language was a little off-putting and loud. Not an issue for us, but someone with smaller kids would definitely take issue. Working at a place that I'm sure draws in families, he really should be made...
