Tower Hill Tavern — Restaurant in Laconia

We were in the area the Sat after Labor Day and needed some lunch, so looked online for some places and decided to come here because of their menu choices shown online. My wife really wanted a Rueben. When we showed up the place was dark inside and we couldn’t find anyone around. After a few minutes a young lady finally came and we sat outside, which was a nice area. She handed us menus that were VERY limited, like 10 items in total and told us they lost their liquor license. She then stood there and waited for our order. We asked about the Rueben and she stated, “no we don’t have our liquor license so this is what we have for food”. We were tempted to leave because there were like 10 very basic things on the menu but we were hungry. She never took a drink order, came back out to ask a few minutes later. We got a burger and a steak wrap. Both were meh. The burger was obviously just a frozen patty and tasted freezer burnt. The fries were pretty standard and the wrap was just a greasy mess. For how expensive these item were I would expect much better quality. We also did not receive any silverware or napkins. When we were done eating the waitress asked if we needed anything, we asked for napkins and she just brought an entire dispenser out to the table. A very bizarre experience that certainly didn’t match the reviews or the online menu. The waitress was nice enough but obviously had no experience. I’m not sure if they’re trying to be a sit down restaurant or just a window service place. Was the limited menu because of after Labor Day, or the liquor license meaning not as much business? I’m not sure but I can say I would not go back if it was the only place to eat...

We wanted to have a nice lunch and decided to give Tower Hill Tavern a try. Not only was the table we sat at dirty, but the waitress was non-informative or friendly. She wiped down the table with clorox and sprayed it on us as she cleaned. Once she took our drink orders there were other customers who had come and had been seated. We waited about 10 mins to place our order. Then we waited about 30 mins for our food, when we noticed people who had come after us had already been served their food. We overheard another customer complain ther their chicken tenders were too hard and sent them back. We finally got our food! I ordered bruschetta and chicken wings. The bruschetta bread was stale and she brought me the wrong sauce for my chicken wings! I was disappointed and asked to send the bruschetta back and take it off our bill. She politely took it back and said she would take it off our bill but had to wait for her manager to authorize it and she was in a meeting and didn't know how long it would be. We sat for another 20 mins and told her we don't have all day to sit here to pay the bill. She explained that she was unable to take the bruschetta off the bill and if she split it she would have to pay for it. Not my problem it didn't taste good! We then spoke to another waitress who was more helpful about 5 mins later who said she can take it off the bill and handed the bill to us. This was the worst service and food I have come across and I will not recommend going there. Not to mention my chicken wings were over cooked and dry also. Will not...

Went here for Dinner with my Husband and Two Children last night sat in the outside seating. Food was excellant for the price, portions were perfect as well. My husband got the lobster mac and cheese which was well worth the price as it not only looked but tasted Amazing. I got a Ruben and my daughter got the burger with onion rings and BBQ sauce(can't remember name) both were delicious. Very Happy all orders were cooked as request the onky reason I didn't put 5stars is because I order a 6$ side of Mac and Cheese which was supposed to be my 1yr old son's dinner, we never received it but were charged for it. I did not realized till after i paid. The waitress was very honest that the were short staffed they were extremely busy as it as we didn't finish till 8:20 and there seemed to be a regular who was there who may have had a tiny bit too much. So we completely understood the situation hopefully that regular made it home safe. Due to this we didn't see our waitress alot but dining with a 9yr old an a 1yr old it was probably for the best as most of our attention was the kids. Haha. Definitely will be going back.
